Rihanna Gets Censored For the Kuwaiti Version of Her Reb’l Fleur Campaign (Plus News About Her Next Fragrance)
By Cheryl WischhoverFirst it was Gisele’s H&M ads in Dubai. Now Rihanna has gotten the cover-up treatment in Kuwait.
Someone sent E! a picture of Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur ad from Kuwait. The small and very modest strip of skin that’s exposed in the original ads has been photoshopped with some sort of extra drapey bathrobe. Of course in the US, we’re used to seeing Riri expose way more skin, a la that Rolling Stone cover.
In other Reb’l Fleur news, Rihanna recently tweeted:
I’m already started on fragrance #2 an extension of #RebLFleur Wore the sample lastnight and all the fly girls wanted some #Yummy
Are there still fly girls out there? If so, your new fragrance is in the works. Yummy.

I think you said it best when you wrote “In the US….”
Kuwait is definitely not the US, it is a much more conservative Muslim country. And I’m guessing that these ads are not going to be in a random page in a magazine but used as major posters or billboards in malls etc so they require more modesty.
Maybe Rihanna should cover up in the rest of the world too.
at least they didn’t make it look as if it was photoshopped. but the closed robe makes her look bigger than she is.
