The POTUS and FLOTUS hosted a formal dinner at the American embassy in London yesterday to thank their British hosts after a whirlwind two days in London. This means–we get to see Michelle Obama in formalwear!

She went all-American in her choice of Ralph Lauren with a (probably) unintentional nod to Oprah, the queen of cleavage and off-the-shoulder ball gowns. While Mrs. O isn’t endowed with the same assets as the other O, she looked slim, sleek, and sophisticated. Topping it all off with a tangle of diamonds, a smoky eye, and some killer lashes, it was a fitting end to a sartorially and politically successful trip.
