Every week, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet puts a feature on her website called 4AM finds–basically a visual list of cool things that she finds, be they clothes, beauty products, furniture, whatever. Gwyneth Paltrow, who does something similar every week in her newsletter GOOP, and wears a lot of Alice + Olivia, guest edited this week’s edition of Stacey’s feature and shared her current must-haves, some of which actually look affordable (which things she shares on GOOP usually aren’t).
Gwyneth even offered little comments about each item, as did Stacy. Our favorite, said of Rodin body oil: “GP: Makes skin look and smell so good. SB: If there’s any chance of my skin glowing like yours I’m going to buy every bottle of this organic bliss!”
The way this came about is also interesting–Stacey is on the board of Bent On Learning, a program to bring yoga to NYC’s inner city schools. The foundation’s third annual benefit event takes place on June 15 and they are honoring Gwyneth, along with Russell Simmons, for their “immense contributions to the yoga community.”
If there’s one thing all of this proves, it’s that just by liking something, Gwyneth Paltrow can influence a lot of people. See above for Gwyneth’s picks.
