These days, it feels like all the fashion girls want Monique Lhuillier to design their wedding gowns. And that all the starlets want Monique Lhuillier to design their red carpet dresses. Personally, we just want to buy something off the rack. The Los Angeles-based designer’s Resort 2012 collection seems to have something for everyone.

Father’s Day is right around the corner–June 19!–and Kiehl’s hooked up with Scott Schuman (aka The Sartorialist) for a campaign honoring baby daddies everywhere.

Scott snapped dads and their tots cavorting in the New York City playground where he first started taking pictures of his own daughters, which ultimately led to his current career path. The results of the shoot? Stylish and touching.

To go along with the ad campaign, Kiehl’s is offering a limited edition dopp bag (i.e. a men’s grooming bag), filled with Kiehl’s products chosen by The Sartorialist.

Nancy Pelosi Wears Thierry Mugler? The House Minority Leader wore a white two-piece set with a ribbed jacket and floor grazing skirt to Tuesday night’s state dinner for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, accenting with a multi-strand pearl choker and jeweled clutch with matching heels. Even better, it’s her own vintage; she says the outfit is “very old.” Check the photos, what do you think? Does Obama have a style rival? {Huffington Post}

Alejandro Ingelmo Launching E-Commerce: The two-time CFDA/Swarovski nominee will sell his standard mens and womens footwear lines directly from the new site, starting with the Fall 2011 collections, as well as designing a few exclusive pieces only available online. To celebrate the launch, the designer also created a short, noir-style, black-and-white film highlighting certain specially shod feet as they traipse through SoHo. {AlejandroIngelmo.com}

Karl Lagerfeld Adds Glasswear to Laundry List of Design Titles: The Kaiser-of-All-Trades sketched some pieces for Swedish company Orrefors, including architectural-style champagne flutes, wine and water glasses, and coasters. Perhaps he’ll use them to sip his favorite bubbly, Diet Coke. {WWD}

Yesterday we stopped by Lulu Guinness‘s West Village boutique to peek the Fall 2011 collection, and say hello to the gracious Lulu herself. She showed us the gorgeous patent Bordeaux bags as well as the illustrated cross bodies, which have been selling particularly well in Hong Kong. The UK-based designer says that the city, which she recently returned from, reminds her of New York 20 years ago. “It feels like anything is possible there,” she told us over champagne and truffles.

Last night, Saks Fifth Avenue threw a private cocktail party on the iconic department store’s third floor to celebrate the fall collection of Haider Ackermann, whose name seems to be on everyone’s lips lately. The crowd was intimate and chic. The gathering was hosted by CNN’s Alina Cho and when we arrived, Haider was mingling with Elisa Sednaoui (who looked amazing) and seemed to be having a well-deserved good time. He held a trunk show earlier that day and had just done the same at Saks in Beverly Hills. The designer, who resides in Paris, has found the whole experience very interesting. “You get to know people and there’s a different approach to everything and also it’s a way to try to understand your American market and that is quite excellent to have,” he told us. “Tomorrow, I’m going to spend some moments here to meet the clients who are buying our clothes.”

Kevork Kiledjian is all about the fit. “It’s the most important thing to me,” said the still-new designer, whose Fall 2011 collection made waves last February at Milk Gallery. With pieces as body con as these, fit’s got to be the priority. But this isn’t Herve Leger territory. Kiledjian, who was born in Paris, is very much influenced by the glam rock look of the late ’70s, early ’80s. (He loves Thierry Mugler.) Yet it’s safe to say Kiledjian’s look is much more grounded in minimalism than the body con pieces we’ve seen lately.

In what seems to be a brilliant branding maneuver and just a really clever idea, Elle–the magazine–is opening a spa at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach. In an attempt to bring the magazine to life and give guests a “taste of the Elle lifestyle”, Elle editors hand-picked everything from the products in the spa to the items for sale, right down to the flip flops. (Disclosure: I occasionally write for Elle.com, but I have no involvement with this spa. Unfortunately.)

I spoke to Emily Dougherty, Elle’s beauty and fitness director, and she told me that they want to “take the stories in the book and make them come alive for the readers.” To that end, the spa offers services which mimic features in the magazine, like “Doctor’s Orders.”

Jason Wu took his Resort 2012 collection to Puerto Rico, and packed some bathing suits, too. Indeed, this was Wu’s first attempt at swimwear, and the chartreuse one-piece–inspired by scuba wear–delivered. In fact, we could see Wu’s client pair it with the ultra-flattering, comfy looking navy knit trousers (piped with, yes, chartreuse). Other Puerto Rican colors were folded into the mix, including a peachy pink (in wallpaper florals and scuba sweaters) as well as electric blue.

Riccardo Tisci has been the name on everybody’s lips since John Galliano was ousted at the house of Dior and his namesake label. But we haven’t heard much about the designer himself of late due to the overshadowing rumors that he will be named Galliano’s replacement.

Luckily, in Interview mag’s June issue, Tisci has a lengthy interview conducted by fellow Italian-born designer Donatella Versace. The two gush over how much they love one another’s work, talk music, family, and yes, Dior.

Here are some of the highlights:
