“When 140 characters isn’t enough..” reads the tag line of DKNY PR Girl, the blog. That basically says it all. Those who love the fashion insider’s entertaining tweets but have found themselves wanting more now have a new resource via Tumblr. The fashion industry has been embracing Tumblr with a newfound enthusiasm lately, so the only really surprising thing about this is that she has enough time to attend to a blog every day.

The Daily Mail reports that Gwynnie was spotted dining in London, without makeup nonetheless, with Sir Philip Green. Which can only mean one thing, right? Topshop collab! The actress/cook/author/blogger/country singer/Glee star/mom is probably ready to add another slash to her resume.

Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu: More Campaign Images!

Wednesday, Jun 29, 2011 / 8:35 AM

Two more images have surfaced on Grazia from Miu Miu’s fall campaign starring Hailee Steinfeld and our love affair with this Bruce Weber-lensed campaign continues. She’s shown in the same open-air, backwoods setting in two new gorgeous Miu Miu looks–the first a a bit more glam with dramatic floral sleeves and amazing gold sequined shoes–the other a bit simpler with a beige dress and bag and chic black pumps, equally amazing.

Over the past few decades, there have been innumerable instances of fashion and music coming together (or using each other, depending on how you look at it). From designers outfitting musicians for tours (which happens even more often than is publicized) to bands performing at fashion shows and after parties, the relationship between musicians and fashion brands has long been a mutually beneficial one.

New internet start up 1 band 1 brand is, for perhaps the first time, bringing that relationship to an online platform that features a new emerging brand and a new emerging designer each week, with a shopping component and the goal of making it easier for people to discover the next big thing amongst both industries. Basically, they offer pay-your-own-price music from a band alongside an exclusive discount for a cool clothing brand (for men and women). They’ve already featured several cool brands including Billy Reid, Smith & Butler, Bed Stu, Ever and others. We thought this sounded like an interesting and unusual concept (unlike the many of the internet startup/sale sites we hear about every day), so we spoke to Brady Sadler, one of the founders of 1 band 1 brand, to find out exactly what it is, how it came about, and the very strong response it’s gotten from both the fashion and music industries.

Brooks Brothers knows that a good percentage of its customer base attends fancy private colleges, probably on the east coast and most definitely part of one league or another (preferably an ivy one).

The brand is finally embracing this fact with gusto by producing, for the first time in its two hundred-year history, a line of college apparel for 15 universities. Behold, the nation’s preppiest student bodies:

HBO has a good track record for shows that inspire products. (Exhibit A: Sex and the City.) Combine HBO’s marketing genius, a brilliant show, and a culture that loves a good sexy vampire, and you end up with a lot of weird things inspired by True Blood.

From the cool (like a makeup collab with Tarte cosmetics) to the kooky (nesting dolls and tattoos), True Blood influenced a lot of people to create a lot of really strange things. We don’t really understand why people wear things inspired by TV shows, but look at all the people with Bart Simpson tattoos–some shows and characters are just that memorable.

Click through to see some of the things inspired by the hit vampire show.

Dear Chris,

My name is Emily and I’m a college freshman–I know I still have time when it comes to finding a future job but am also well aware of the importance of internships. I’m a journalism student and my dream is working in the fashion industry in some way or another. Unfortunately I go to school in Oklahoma, which isn’t exactly a hotbed of fashion magazines. What can I do to build my resume while I’m still an undergrad and unable to travel to NYC? I’m interested in learning all I can about fashion in general, and your help is greatly appreciated!

Emily

As if we’re not bombarded with enough images of Lady Gaga, there’s yet another medium for getting your Mother Monster fix. Gaga launched a Tumblr yesterday called Amen Fashion. Her first post was of the much talked-about trompe l’oeil eyeballs that she painted on her eyelids in Japan this weekend. (True Gaga aficionados will recall that she did a version of this already for the famous Hello Kitty shoot in 2009).

I guess we saw this coming. Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman’s three-month old baby boy already has a limited edition Missoni stroller and what appears to be a Missoni baby blanket. Last week, Zoe was photographed buying baby Skyler a pinstriped suit jacket and baby blue pinstriped shorts at some children’s clothing boutique in L.A. And most recently, PopSugar caught baby Zoe leaving Barneys with his mom looking very hip in a pair of his own black round-lense sunglasses. I never knew babies wore sunglasses. But if any baby were to wear sunglasses, it would be this baby.

One of L.A.’s youngest paparazzi targets, Skyler already knows the importance of stylish eyewear. Hopefully, this is only the beginning.
