So imagine this: you’ve been sunbathing topless all day in the south of France, and--eek!--you get a sunburn. What to do? Well, you could hide topless in your room with aloe vera gel smeared all over your chest or...just throw on Simone Perele’s new line of aloe-infused bras and undies.
OK, so we’re being slightly cheeky here. Simone Perele, a legit French lingerie brand founded in 1948 (Neiman Marcus carries them--this is not Frederick’s of Hollywood) just released a line of bras, undies, and a bodysuit infused with aloe vera. The line, called Caressence, incorporates micro beads of aloe into the lace of the lingerie, making the pieces super soft on the skin.
Aloe micro bead technology has been used in garments in the past, like t-shirts and socks, to make the fabric soft against your skin. There’s nothing gooey or tacky about it; microscopic amounts of the substance get released each time it’s worn. According to Simone Perele, the aloe soothing properties last for up to 100 washings.
The Caressence line is limited to molded t-shirt bras, four different styles of undies, and a Spanx-like bodysuit. The aloe is in the lace parts of all these undergarments. We’re wondering why the company isn’t offering full lace bras and panties to take advantage of the aloe. To have a non-scratchy lace bra would truly be an amazing thing. Perhaps it’s too much of a good thing?
Anyway, if you like your garments to be multi-tasking (and crave a silky, soft bosom), strap on one of the new Simone Perele bras.
