Heidi Klum Talks to WWD While Sitting on a Pile of Sand: Say what you will about Heidi Klum–she gives a good interview. In today’s WWD, she talked up her new fragrance, Shine, which launches this September. Of greater interest was the fact that she conducted the interview while sitting on a pile of sand–in her hotel room. It’s never really clear why she had the sand brought to the room, but it has something loosely to do with husband Seal and the fact that they renew their vows at the beach every year.

Heidi revealed in the interview that Seal has never watched an episode of Project Runway, that she tried acting and was horrible at it, and hates to have her “snaggletooth” retouched in photos. And while she recently launched a lifestyle website on AOL, she’s reluctant to embrace social media like Twitter, although she will tweet for an upcoming project. Look for her fragrance to launch in September.

Mariah Carey Still Likes Butterflies: Despite now being a mother, Mariah Carey still likes the childlike innocence of candy and butterflies. She released Lollipop Bling last year, and now has three more sweet fragrances to add. The group is called Lollipop Splash the Remix, and includes Inseparable, Never Forget You, and Vision of Love. The notes for these variously include mango, gourmet jelly beans, and French macaroons. Our teeth hurt just thinking about it.
