There’s been much ado made in the press over the last year about how Jennifer Lopez has pulled herself out of a slumping career. 2011 has seen J. Lo come roaring back with a vengeance. Her recent roles include: L’Oreal model/spokesperson, American Idol judge, a new album, and campaigns for Tous and Gucci.

So in light of all this success, the world greeted her divorce announcement on Friday with a fair amount of surprise. Maybe she’s been too busy to maintain a marriage. In public, J.
