Think the only trend Kate Middleton started after the Royal Wedding was an uptick in long sleeved wedding gowns? Think again. According to research released by Brides magazine, 52% of American brides are more likely to wear a veil, and there’s been a 200% increase in inquiries for horse-and-carriage rentals. (Yeah, that’s right. Horse and carriage rentals.) There’s also been a 25% bump in sales of red aisle runners.
I wore a long sleeved lace dress to my wedding, but I got married six days before the Duchess, so I can safely say I was not inspired by her production. Will you be?
