TITLE: Public Relations Intern
DEPARTMENT: Public Relations

We are seeking dynamic and responsible interns who can commit for 3-5 days a week starting August 2011 to assist in our Fashion, Accessories, Jewelry and Social Media Departments.

Fashion week will be just around the corner, and our interns play a huge role in the organization and execution of our fashion shows.

POSITION REPORTS TO: Public Relations Assistant & Account Executives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Tracking Samples to and from Fashion Editors at magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, People etc.
-Obtaining, organizing, and distributing all company/brand press and editorial
-Updating media Lists
-Administrative duties
-Mailings
-Contacting magazine staff for credit checks

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have excellent multitasking skills, pay close attention to detail, be proficient in excel, and above all, have a strong desire for a career in Public Relations and the fashion industry.

EXPERIENCE: Fashion PR experience in a similar internship is a plus.

SKILLS/APTITUDES: Attention to detail, good administrative, analytical, problem solving, oral/written communication skills are required.

HOURS: 10:00am-6:30 PM, 3-5 days per week
