Despite the drama the house of Dior is experiencing right now, it’s not getting in the way of its other businesses. The new Miss Dior handbag ad, featuring long-time Dior muse Marion Cotillard, was revealed in WWD today. Unlike some of the past campaigns, it has a quiet feeling.
Featuring Cotillard looking thoughtfully in the distance through a sun-dappled window, the ad was shot by Mikael Jansson. She’s holding a chain-handled Miss Dior in what looks to be alligator, and the colors are very soft and muted. A peaceful moment for the beleaguered house.
The ad will hit international glossies next week and is also set to appear in key September issues, including Vanity Fair.
