Time Out Hong Kong finally put its very bizarre and extremely entertaining interview with Tom Ford online. While some quotes about his thoughts on parenthood made the rounds last week, we finally got to read the whole thing this morning and almost spit out our coffee at several points. (Like when he recounted the tale of a German journalist questioning whether the flowers in his room were fake or not, because Americans have a lot of fake things.)

The Hong Kong-based journalist attempted to ask Ford questions ranging from his new movie to beauty standards in Asia, and he was met with some strongly worded responses, to say the least. Here are some of the best excerpts:

Haute couture kicked off this week in Paris with one of the most hotly anticipated shows of the season: Christian Dior, sans disgraced creative director John Galliano. Galliano’s studio assistant Bill Gaytten, who was recently named creative director of the Galliano label, took the bow following the show, but he received little praise for his efforts. The reviews from all the big papers are in and they’re not good.

Here’s a roundup:

Socialite and reality TV star Olivia Palermo is becoming a fashion blogger!

She’s in Paris right now taking in some couture shows and at Giambattista Valli’s debut couture show yesterday she told WWD that her blog will launch midsummer and feature style advice.

This makes so much sense. Regardless of how you feel about Palermo as a person (or as a character on The City), there’s no denying the girl knows how to put an outfit together.

Despite his ability to attract a crowd of a zillion screeching tweens, to sell perfumed dog tags and nail polish, and to generally wreak havoc wherever he goes, there’s something the Biebs can’t do: sell magazines.

WWD reports this morning that his February 2011 Vanity Fair cover was the worst-selling issue for the glossy in 12 years. Selling just 246,000 copies, which is almost 100,000 copies less than Vanity Fair‘s average, the issue was a massive flop for the magazine. While this is perhaps not surprising (because what 11-year-old seeks out Vanity Fair?), the superstar’s mug can’t sell more age-appropriate magazines either.

Pippa Middleton graces the cover of popular British glossy Tatler‘s August issue.

The mag chose a black and white photo of Pippa from the Royal Wedding for the cover, surrounding her face in brightly colored flowers. Pippa’s older sister got the Tatler cover treatment back in February when the mag Warhol-ed one of the Duchess of Cambridge’s engagement photos. The covers are fun but we can’t wait until a fashion mag produces a real editorial with either Middleton sister.

Just because Kate Moss is away having a private honeymoon off in Timbuktu with new husband Jamie Hince doesn’t mean that we have to stop ogling snaps of her. We knew Kate was covering US Vogue’s September issue, and the rumor that she would cover Vogue’s UK August edition is now confirmed. The mag released the cover and one image from her vintage-inspired editorial on its website today.

Outfit # 8: Kate Middleton landed in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island yesterday, wearing a lovely shell-colored Joseph shift and pale pink tweed jacket. The duchess looked fantastic, but can we just talk about the fact that William hasn’t changed his suit? Perhaps he should switch to something lighter when he gets to Los Angeles? Maybe tan? Or seersucker?

Apparently some people are upset that Hailee Steinfeld is just 14-years-old and starring in Miu Miu ads. We don’t really get it, given the fact that Steinfeld looks adorable–not to mention, her age–in the photos. Plenty of models under the age of 18 work on big campaigns, and they’re often tarted up. Miu Miu‘s campaigns are not only some of the most tasteful out there, they’re also the most compelling. If Steinfeld is deemed old enough to star in movies that work her to the bone and pay her more than what most of us make in a year, then she’s old enough to pose in clothes that she loves.
