Our obsession with Mulberry’s art direction knows no bounds–see last week’s 40th anniversary video and our multitude of posts on the subject for proof–but the label’s Fall 2011 efforts are just out fo this world.

Not only is the Tim Walker-shot fall campaign–starring Julia Saner–visually sumptuous, but we’re also obsessed with the Luke Losey directed short film, which you can see here: Read more »

Unless you decided to spend your long weekend under a rock, you probably know that Kate Moss married her longtime rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince in a private (at least more private than that other wedding), ceremony at her house in the Costwolds on Friday. Luckily, the matter of her dress was settled immediately after the ceremony with the release of these photos of her in Galliano (and the groom in YSL). And the designer did in fact attend the wedding, according to British Vogue. While the dress has gotten mixed reviews, British Vogue‘s Harriet Quick was a fan, writing: “It was a superb dress and pure Galliano–bias-cut, nostalgic and wonderful–a tribute to him. Moss returns to that waif we all fell in love with.”

Kate’s maids of honor reportedly wore Stella McCartney and Erdem, while her younger bridesmaids wore frocks made by French children’s clothing brand Bonpoint. McCartney also designed three post-wedding outfits–a first dance dress, an after-party dress and a white three-piece going away suit, which you can see below as she makes her way to the helicopter waiting to take her and Jamie to their honeymoon. According to the Mirror, one of the stops on said honeymoon will be Timbuktu, which Kate reportedly didn’t know was a real place.

It’s the Fourth of July, and we’re lucky enough to live in a country that allows us the freedom to dress like total jackasses if we want to. Patriotic dressing never gets old and is a perennial favorite of celebs. The problem is that it rarely looks classy, and is almost always tacky. Probably because our flag is red, white, and blue with stars and stripes? That’s a lot going on for one outfit.

The ironic thing is that a lot of the celebs wearing the Stars and Stripes aren’t even from the US. (Hopefully they just think it’s cool, kinda how Americans think the Union Jack is cool.)

Kate Middleton Wears Erdem For Canada Outfit #7

Sunday, Jul 3, 2011 / 12:29 PM

This is getting out of control, but we’re not complaining. For her seventh outfit change in Canada, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton donned a cornflower blue dress by Canadian-bred/London-based designer Erdem, which accentuates her impossibly tiny waist. The couple is in Quebec City right now, and next they’ll be travelling to Prince Edward Island, home of Kate’s favorite childhood novel, Anne of Green Gables. There better be some puffed sleeves involved.

For more on Kate’s Canada outfits, click here.

She’s only been in Canada for three days–and it’s still early on the west coast–but Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has already managed to wear six outfits, with more on the way. Read more »

Let’s be honest, Kate Moss could have worn anything for her walk down the aisle with Jamie Hince and would have looked amazing.

While her Galliano-designed dress is absolutely stunning, it is a rather safe choice for the risk-taking style icon.

We’ve decided to bring you a roundup of all the best white looks from the runways, as a helpful comparison. Perhaps Moss should’ve gone a more wild route with a Viktor & Rolf creation or veered toward the classic in Narciso Rodriguez?

Check out the white ensembles we’ve selected. And let us know if you like Moss’ choice or think she could have gone more daring.

And remember, there’s still more Moss-mania to come – her reception dress is designed by Stella McCartney. Could it be one of the paillette options we’ve selected?

One of the most irksome parts of trying to get by on little money is that inevitable time when you run out of a necessary beauty item. Buying another is more of a need than a want but it’s like a pin in your side to have to shell out precious dollars on shampoo or mascara, especially if you share our opinion that it’s better to splurge on a few nicer beauty products that you’ll use every day rather than on an expensive article of clothing that gets much less wear.

However, while some beauty products are worth shelling out for, many others you can easily make at home for little to no money. Raiding the cupboards or local bodegas can be surprisingly fruitful and yields results identical to those of pricey packaged products. Here, we’ve compiled a how-to of basic at-home treatments ranging from hair conditioners to teeth whitening.
