The Spring Magazine Cover War Results Are In: Prada Wins With 77

We've taken you along for the ride while Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Prada have competed against each other to nab the most covers for the season, and now that spring/summer is coming to a close, we can finally announce Prada as the cover war winner with a whopping 77 covers! Their weapons of choice? Bananas, fur scarves, and large striped hats. This victory can be considered just another feather in Prada's cap during an important year for the brand. The company experienced record sales during 2010, recently went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and held a special showing of their Spring 2011 collection in Beijing this past January. It only seems fitting that the brand--whose popular green and yellow print dress showed up on more covers than any other spring look--would receive the ultimate title in the end. Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana fought valiantly this season, nabbing second and third place, respectively. By our count Gucci's ultra-bright looks scored 69 covers, while the pristine white dresses of Dolce & Gabbana showed up on 63. Better luck next season, you two. Though as one season ends, another begins and we already have our eyes peeled for the fall issues. There are the usual suspects, but is there room for another contender? Which brands do you think will show up to compete in the fall? Want a quick look at all (and we do mean all) the winning covers? Click through for a few handy collages.
