Would You Rather? The New 'It' Bag Edition

This fall, we might be seeing a war between two new similarly boxy, slightly masculine chain-handled bags. In corner one, Mulberry's latest bag, the Carter, is looking like this year's Alexa. However, news and recent pictures of Chanel's new line, the Boy, makes for a formidable contender. After all, no one does a chain-strap bag like Chanel.

This fall, we might be seeing a war between two new similarly boxy, slightly masculine chain-handled bags. In corner one, Mulberry's latest bag, the Carter, is looking like this year's Alexa. However, news and recent pics of Chanel's new line, the Boy, makes for a formidable contender. After all, no one does a chain-strap bag like Chanel. The Carter, with it's perfect balance of boxy and delicate, has already been seen dangling from the arms of Emma Watson and Kate Bosworth. But the Boy's boxiness, buckle-style closures and dual leather-and-chain straps channel the menswear trend of late and could shoot ahead once it drops in September.

Watch for the waiting lists; we'll see who ends up in more demand. Personally, I'm dying for the medium-size white Boy (the bag, I swear). Which is your fave?
