Alison Brod on Being Called a C*** on TV: 'It Was Actually Good For My Career'

If you watched the last season of Entourage (or were forced to watch it with you boyfriend, but come on, you didn't really mind) you might have caught a scene where Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold calls someone named Alison Brod a c***. Brod is, of course, the PR maven with a serious penchant for pink whom you might remember as repping Whitney Port's line on The City (she's no longer listed as one of Brod's clients). But the well-heeled publicist wasn't peeved.

Turns out Brod went to Tulane with Entourage creator Doug Ellin, and the two are buds--Brod invited Ellin to her Hamptons home a few weeks ago to toast his final season of Entourage and his new HBO show Forty, according to The Hollywood Reporter (subscription required). In fact, Brod told THR's Merle Ginsberg that the derogatory shout out was good for business. "It was actually good for my career," she said.
