Are We All Going to be a Bunch of Pippa Middleton Clones? New Reports Say Women Want her Tan, Her Bum, and her Facial Features

Pippa Middleton is still inspiring legions of women in the UK and abroad, and recently just won a very prestigious honor. Her skin tone, dubbed the “Royal Mocha,” has been voted the most desirable shade by British women looking to fake bake, the Daily Mail is reporting. The study, commissioned by a new UK TV station, included a poll of 2,000 women who were presented with a color chart of various tan Brit celebs. The station also paraded tan models in bikinis and high heels all over London, to act as representatives of each celeb, which I’m sure cheered up a lot of people on the street. Pippa’s glow won with over 60% of the votes. The majority of the women surveyed said they feel better about themselves and sexier when they have a tan.

(As an aside, I don’t think I realized how important tanning is to some women in the UK. I spent the weekend in Las Vegas at Cosmoprof, which is a beauty trade show that features a lot of small companies and new launches. I spoke to an Irish woman who just launched a line of fake tanners. She told me that Ireland has the highest percentage of fake tanner users per capita of any country in the world. In her words, “There are a bunch of Oompa-Loompas with red hair walking around there.” Anyway.)

Pippa’s tan isn’t the only inspiring thing about her. Let’s not forget about her bum, which is still earning accolades--and requests at the plastic surgeon’s office. Fox News, of all places, interviewed Miami-based plastic surgeon Dr. Constantino Mendieta, who told Fox that although boob jobs used to be the most popular surgery, “now it is the buttocks that are considered a woman’s best asset.”

The interest in butt enhancement has increased over the last five years, with Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez inspiring imitators with their covetable bums. Now it’s Pippa. The doctor told Fox, “She opens the doors to those who did not know you could have a small, shapely and perky backside without the large size.”

Another plastic surgeon, Dr. Richard W. Fleming, told Fox that he’s seeing more requests for both Middleton sisters’ features. He said, “The most requested features of both girls are their eyes and their noses. Both have beautiful, happy smiling eyes and very natural, perfectly proportional noses.”

Are the UK and the US going to turn into a bunch of Middleton clones? Better than the blonde, tan, boob-heavy Barbie look, I suppose.
