Gwyneth Paltrow Covers Elle‘s September Issue: Here’s the Full Editorial and Highlights From Her F-Bomb Laden Interview
By Cheryl WischhoverGwyneth is looking fantastic lately, and she continues to look fantastic on the cover of Elle‘s September issue, which the Fashion Spot dug up. We are loving the stripped-down makeup, messy hair, and monochrome black outfit. The styling, courtesy of Joe Zee, has a casual vibe. Boring? Maybe, but we like Gwynnie best when she’s being down-to-earth.
Here are some of the highlights from her interview with Mickey Rapkin:
-On BeyoncĂ© (who came to watch Gwyneth’s rehearsal at the ungodly hour of 10am) giving her advice to improve her stage presence: “She’s like, ‘The singing is great. But you’re not having any fun. Remember when we’re at Jay’s concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that.’”
-On what she did to prepare before the appearance with Cee Lo on the Grammys: Drank a pint of Guinness and took a beta-blocker (which is a drug commonly used for cardiac problems, but also has known stress-reduction properties)
-On people who criticize GOOP: “Unsubscribe!”
-Chef Anthony Bourdain to Mario Batali about Gwyneth’s refusal to eat pork: “Why would you bring along the one bitch in the world who can’t eat ham?”
-On making a solo album: “BeyoncĂ© and Jay–they think that I should just go do it my myself. That I should go fuck around in a studio and see what happens.”
-On her marriage to Chris Martin: “We go through periods that aren’t all rosy. If, God forbid, we were ever not to be together, I respect him so much as the father of my children.”
Unfortunately we don’t have more of the interview, but it should be hitting the internet in a few hours and newsstands within weeks. UPDATE: It’s online. Go to Elle.com for a sneak peek at the article.
