If there’s anything we love more than when a storied heritage brand teams up with a fun, modern brand, it’s when fashion teams up with cats. In the case of Liberty of London‘s latest collab with none other than Hello Kitty, we get both and the result is pretty amazing.
Now that Liberty’s London department store has a new spa and beauty hall, they’ve chosen Hello Kitty’s adorable face to inject some cuteness into a range of cosmetics pouches and cases.
It’s almost disturbing how well her iconic face blends in with two of Liberty’s oldest fabric prints. The red, white and blue floral was created in 1933 and the blue one below, in which, if you look closely, Hello Kitty is playing various musical instruments, was originally produced in 1978.
According to Grazia, the limited edition Hello Kitty – Liberty Art Fabrics luxury product range will be available for two weeks exclusively at Liberty beginning September 26. They add that Liberty is supposedly planning to roll out new styles each year and according to Liberty’s Facebook page, the collab is set to launch worldwide in 2012. Just so you know, Liberty, if Hello Kitty’s face is on it, we’re buying it.
