It’s a clever PR stunt, we’d love to work with them on other ways they can leverage ‘Jersey Shore’ to reach the largest youth audience on television.

Burberry’s new fragrance, Body, is set to hit stores September but because Christopher Bailey loves you all so much, he’s giving you a chance to sample the hotly-anticipated fragrance now. Here’s how: Become a fan of Burberry on Facebook. There, you’re done!

The media has barely had time to cool down since the recent outpouring of outrage for 10-year-old model Thylane Blondeau‘s suggestive French Vogue spread and, more recently, our discovery of Jours après Lunes, a lingerie line for young girls. Already, another instance of an underage model being photographed in a questionable manner has caught the media’s attention. However, this time, it’s because the parents of said model are taking action.
Hailey, now 16, is a successful working model and has since starred in editorials for Vogue Russia, Vogue China and T Style, as well as campaigns for Gucci, Zara, Jill Stuart, DSquared and others.
Her parents are suing Urban Outfitters for selling merchandise printed with pictures of her taken last April when she was 15 that they feel are sexually suggestive. They are also suing the photographer, Jason Lee Perry and two other stores and seeking damages exceeding $28 million. What confuses us is that, according to the Daily News, “her parents knew about the photo session but did not give permission to use the pictures.” Hmm.

The Kardashian-Humphries wedding is looming over us like a very expensive, massive, glittery, black cloud and as details start trickling in we’re getting more and more anxious to see how it all plays out–particularly, in the sartorial department.
Here’s what we know:
1. Kim will don Vera Wang.
2. Her bridesmaids and maids of honor will wear green.
3. The groom and groomsmen will wear Ermenegildo Zegna.
4. The wedding will take place in Sotto Il Monte estate in Montecito, California.
5. It will be a complete shitshow.
We did some fashion Sherlock-Holmes-ing and got together a list of our best guesses–or wishes–of what everyone in the wedding party, including the bride, will wear.
Click through to see our best bets.

Inspired by denim, the colors are sure to become a nail wardrobe staple, just like their sartorial counterpart. No word yet on if they’ll make our butt look good though. From left, the shades are named Blue Rebel, Coco Blue and Blue Boy.

Club Monaco dipped their toes into online retail last year when Shopbop started selling a selection of their wears, but next year the retailer is finally launching their own e-commerce shop!
Eight months ago, Ann Watson, Club Monaco’s vice president of marketing and communications, told WWD of their Shopbop collab, “This came from a pure consumer demand. We get daily requests for online shopping and we want to satisfy our customers and bring it to them in a very special way.” Our expectations are high for the brand’s e-commerce efforts–Club Monaco has always been very strategic about marketing (hence the Shopbop test) and most likely put a lot of planning into the launch. Plus, their website is already awesome.
Spring 2012 will be the first collection available to shop online and we already have pics and all the scoop on what’s in store for January, February and March. The inspiration was a trip down the coastline of California, from north to south. Click through for our favorite looks.

Niche Fragrances, Including Angelina Jolie’s Scent, Get the Spotlight at the Elements Showcase
With so many celebrities rolling out fragrances and so many millions of consumers buying them, it’s easy to forget that creating a scent is actually an art form. It takes talent, skill, and inventiveness.
I was reminded of this fact earlier this week at Elements Showcase where an impressive collection of niche fragrance brands came together to present their diverse products. The bi-annual showcase that first premiered last January, is the vision of Jeff Lawson, owner of an events consultancy, Ulrich Lang, a former L’Oreal exec, and Frederick Bouchardy, founder of Joya, a creative collective specializing in fragrance.
The goal of the event was to connect fragrance designers with the media and buyers from top distributors like Barney’s and Henri Bendel, while at the same time, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship of the exhibitors’ products.

PARIS–Our article, published earlier this week, about French children’s underwear line ‘Jour après Lunes’–a line comprised of lingerie–inspired pieces meant to be worn indoors and out, over and under clothes–led to far more reactions than we had imagined–including stories in major outlets like the New York Daily News, the UK’s Daily Mail, and TODAY.com.
The brand’s founder and designer Sophie Morin wrote a letter to Fashionista explaining why she doesn’t think her brand promotes anything dodgy or creepy.
Her main points:
The “ worn dessus-dessous” (i.e. underwear worn as outerwear) that has raised an upheaval, is in fact just another way of saying that, for example, an undershirt, worn under a sweater to be warm in the winter, can be worn with jeans in the summer; or bodysuits, often worn by babies, can become an outfit–like mothers often do with their babies when it is hot…Triangle bras–and there are only two models in the collection–are worn as swimwear for youngest clients; these can be worn as a first brassiere for girls and even young women who aren’t looking for real support, since these don’t have underwire. There are no real bras in my collection. The transgenerational mother/daughter aspect of my brand doesn’t offer anything new and is identical to what lots of ready to wear brands offer.
And about the photos of my brand, I’d like to specify that the articles in which they appeared were taken out of their context and were laid out to imply a sexy dimension that didn’t originally exist. All the photos show children playing children’s games, as we’ve all done.
