Charlotte Olympia always makes awesome shoes that we one day dream of being able to afford. This season, however, she’s really outdone herself. For fall/winter Olympia has designed several shoes embroidered with kitties on the toes (thanks to Elle for pointing them out). And you guys all know how I feel about cats in fashion. So, you see, I had to share these with you. Shame that they’re just under $900 US (£545). Check out the other styles. You know you wanna see them in their red velvet platform incarnation.

While I have to admit I have a little bit of nail art fatigue and am looking forward to some of the gorgeous nude polishes that are launching this fall, my interest was definitely peaked again at Cosmoprof. Nails are still a huge focal point for the industry, and there are new brands, new trends, and new innovations. While some struck me as gimmicky, some are definitely going to turn into modern classics.

Click through to check out my trend report and learn a bit about some new things in the world of nails that are launching soon.

Terry Richardson has just revealed more images from the editorial he shot featuring Liza Minnelli for LOVE. And we’re in love. I was hoping for a classic Terry thumbs up photo of them together but he’s done one better: in one shot he’s gripping Liza’s thigh while she caresses his chest, and in another captioned “Liza as me” Minnelli is wearing his glasses.

We love high-end designer kids collections simply for things like this: normal little kids who probably have no idea what Gucci is wearing their clothes and, you know, playing around with some sort of giant mythical Gucci dog/bear hybrid animal. The kids are dressed in Gucci’s fall/winter ’11 collection, which was inspired by the English countryside according to creative director Frida Giannini. We love the girl with the bangs’ outfits–a red coat with black patent leather boots and, later, a white shift dress, which she wears while holding hands with a little boy in a black tuxedo. Aren’t they a little young to be getting married? Read more »

Sorry, Lauren Conrad. You’ve been toppled from your hair color throne. Kate Bosworth stepped out at a Coldplay concernt last night in LA with a new man and that hair.

Kate always manages to work the oh-so-disheveled look to perfection, but it’s kicked up a notch with the teal/turquoise ends. We don’t know if this is intentional–it probably is–but from roots to ends her hair perfectly ombrés from natural, to baby blonde, to faded teal. Her brows look pretty spectacular, too. She’s definitely been hitting the brow powder in a good way–it’s a great contrast to her hair.

He already has his own Bravo reality show and now stylist Brad Goreski has landed a lucrative book deal.

Brad just Tweeted, “Hi everyone! I am so excited to be writing a book for @harpercollins. It’s called “Born to Be Brad” and will be out sometime next year :)”

The full title is Born to Be Brad: Life and Style Lessons from the Front Lines of Fashion, according to Coco Perez, and the tome will reportedly cover everything from Brad’s childhood to landing a job as Rachel Zoe’s assistant and everything in between.

“Sometimes the hardest thing to do is be true to yourself,” Brad told the site. “I hope that Born to be Brad will inspire others to pursue their dreams, because to make dreams come true we have to listen to our hearts and not be afraid to fail.”

The book is expected to hit shelves around the same time Brad’s Bravo show, “It’s a Brad Brad World” airs next year. Got to time those things right!

We’re big fans of Brad’s and congratulate him on all his success! He’s hilarious and we’re sure that will come through in his book. Also, being clever as we are, we’ve noticed a pattern emerging here in how Brad’s projects are titled. So for his future endeavors, we have some title suggestions:

If you watched the last season of Entourage (or were forced to watch it with you boyfriend, but come on, you didn’t really mind) you might have caught a scene where Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold calls someone named Alison Brod a c***.

Brod is, of course, the PR maven with a serious penchant for pink whom you might remember as repping Whitney Port‘s line on The City (she’s no longer listed as one of Brod’s clients). But the well-heeled publicist wasn’t peeved.

Heidi Klum is the latest model to pen a blog for the Huffington Post (Jessica Stam wrote about cell phone etiquette for Huffpo Canada in June). In “Caring for my Kids’ Hair,” Heidi waxes poetic on the challenges of just that. Apparently, three of her four kids (with musician Seal) have curly hair, while her daughter Leni (who has a different biological father) has straight hair. This, I realized, after much confusion, is why the blog appears in the “Black Voices” section of the online magazine.

I know from personal experience that “mixed” curly hair can be a major challenge that most people don’t know what to do with and Heidi actually offers some pretty helpful advice.

We didn’t think it was possible for Kim Kardashian‘s curves to get any more three-dimensional than they already are, but new mag WMB (stands for World’s Most Beautiful) is touting itself as the first 3-D magazine–and Kim’s its first cover girl. WMB (not to be confused with the other WMB, or Women Mean Business, an Irish magazine for businesswomen) shot Kim in a ramshackle old building in the desert wearing all sorts of outfits that are inappropriate for the desert.
