Rumor: McQueen: Savage Beauty Going To London? A McQueen spokesperson said there have been tentative talks with some London venues but an official announcement will be made if/when they reach a decision. Though there’s no comment from the Met, this sounds like something, if not the exact exhibit, is in the works! {Telegraph}

An H&M spokesperson said it’s a preview of their full e-commerce launching next spring. Don’t worry if it sells out though–the full fall collection hit stores in two days. {WWD}

Rei Kawakubo Isn’t Excited About Fashion Anymore: She told the Wall Street Journal that “there are not enough of us believing in the same thing, that there is a kind of burnout, that people just want cheap fast clothes and are happy to look like everyone else.” I somewhat agree. {The Cut}

Here Is a List of Things that are Bigger than Stella Tennant’s Waist on the Cover of Vogue Italia‘s September Issue

Vogue Italia is certainly no stranger to controversy. Just days after running a feature on “slave” earrings, the magazine has released an image of their September issue cover, featuring Stella Tennant, shot by Steven Meisel. Notice something…amiss with Tennant’s waist?

The magazine reportedly had the model’s waist whittled to a shockingly tiny 13 inches (whether by photoshop or some serious corset-tightening, we don’t know–we’re hoping it’s the former) in honor of early-20th century style icon Ethel Granger, the Daily Mail is reporting.

We’re figuring that, like us, you’ve probably never seen a 13 inch waist in real life, so to give you an idea of just how tiny it is, we’ve put together a helpful list of common objects and how they size up to Tennant’s Vogue Italia waistline:

American Apparel’s in Serious Trouble Again: New Investors Reportedly Ready to Sell Their Shares

American Apparel’s in Serious Trouble Again: New Investors Reportedly Ready to Sell Their Shares

American Apparel has hovered perilously close to bankruptcy for the past few years but they’ve always managed to hang on by a thread. Things looked up for the company when it received a much needed $15 million injection from a group of Canadian investors in April. But now those investors are looking to sell their 43.2 million shares, WWD is reporting.

The fact that this latest batch of investors, helmed by financier Michael Serruya (he’s responsible for bailing out Jamba Juice in 2009), is ready to pull out just four months after they invested does not bode well for American Apparel and it’s notorious CEO Dov Charney. According to WWD, “Today’s offering consists of 24.2 million shares issued to the investors in April and another 19 million shares tied to purchase rights held by the group.” Charney still controls 47.1 percent of his company’s stock, while the group of investors lead by Serruya controls 23.3 percent.

Looks like Charney and Co. need another fat-wallet-ed savior to swoop in asap. Could this be the demise of Dov Charney?

Is Michelle Bachmann’s Hair the New ‘Rachel’? Should We Be Scared?

It’s a fact of life that women in politics get scrutinized more often for their looks than men do. It’s hard not to because male politicians seem to all blend together in their suits and striped ties. Women have more options for styling and grooming, and it’s just a fact of life that people will notice.

Since it’s our job to notice these things, let’s talk about Michelle Bachmann. No, we do not agree with her politics. At all. But her hair? Apparently women on both sides of the aisle are agreeing that Bachmann’s hair is covetable.

The New York Daily News ran a story today about how women–both liberals and conservatives–are requesting the “Bachmann.”

Watch: Mary Kate Olsen Says Her Trip To Honduras for Toms Taught Her To Be ‘More Affectionate and Loving’

Following their collaboration with Toms on a range of cashmere slip-ons (which are now available), The Row’s Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen accompanied Toms founder Blake Mycoskie on a shoe drop in Honduras. Toms documented their experience in the above video (from Stylelist), which is definitely worth watching if only for the rare opportunity to see the Olsens looking and acting more down to earth and humble than we’ve ever seen them.

Annie Leibovitz to Host Kardashian Kollection Launch Party (Plus a Super Sexy Behind-the-Scenes Video of the Campaign)

The Kardashian Kollection for Sears just launched, and the campaign was shot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz. While this may seem surprising, the Kardashians are money, so why not promote them with the best imagery possible?

The girls will be feted by Sears and Leibovitz with a pre-fashion week party next week at the photographer’s own studio. Let’s hope this means we’ll see them in some front rows at the shows. As reality stars go, a Kardashian sighting is much better than a Real Housewife.

Check out their campaign shoot video below, courtesy of Elle. It features the girls lolling around on the ground (a questionable look, because when you lie down, things spread a bit–but they seem to be pulling it off), smoldering on a couch, and stomping Tyra-like in leopard looks.

The Collaboration We’ve Been Waiting For: Karl Lagerfeld and Snoop Dogg

Okay, so maybe we haven’t been waiting for a collaboration between Karl Lagerfeld and Snoop Dogg, but that’s only because we never thought it was within the realm of possibility. Apparently it totally is. Karl is spending some time in his favorite vacay spot Saint Tropez and has been shooting a music video there with Jean-Roch, a local nightlife impresario who recorded a song with Snoop Dogg fittingly called, “St-Tropez.”

According to WWD, Lagerfeld shot a scene at 7am in a cafe called Senequier wearing head-to-toe white (because what else do you wear in Saint Tropez when you’re Karl Lagerfeld?). We knew the French beach town was a big celebrity destination but who knew Karl and Snoop Dogg ran in the same circles?

Is It Ever OK to Change Your Eye Color to Match Your Dress? Deena from Jersey Shore Shows Us How It’s Done

Is It Ever OK to Change Your Eye Color to Match Your Dress? Deena from Jersey Shore Shows Us How It’s Done

There’s a lot of debate in beauty circles about how matchy-matchy you should get with your makeup and your outfit. Paz de la Huerta took some criticism for seemingly always matching her lipstick to her dress, which we actually think looks pretty good. And there’s an old school ladylike trend happening this fall, where we’ll see more matching lipstick and nail polish. The beauty of makeup is that you can change it, and women have a long history of wanting to change what nature has given them.

But can you–or rather, should you–change the actual color of your features?
