People Mag shelled out $1.5 million for the exclusive rights to run the first photos from America’s ‘Royal Wedding’ and a site called Glamazonsblog (that we found via the Gloss) took the time to scan them onto the internet for all of us to gawk at.
Here’s a look at the three (yes three) wedding dresses Kim wore, plus more close-up photos of the beaming bride and groom, snaps of the bridal party and celebrity guests, and detail shots of Kim’s millions in bling (according to the New York Post she was wearing $10 million in diamonds). Which one of Kim’s Vera Wang gowns do you like best? Read more »
Italian Vanity Fair has published the first photos from the 2012 Pirelli Calendar. The calendar was shot in beautiful Corisca, Italy by Mario Sorrenti (the first Italian to shoot the calendar, Vanity Fair points out). Unlike last year’s Karl Lagerfeld-lensed calendar, which took place in a Paris studio, this one takes place outdoors and has a more natural feel.
The shoot took place over a week in May, making it one of Kate Moss’ last photo shoots as a single lady. The calendar’s other stars include Lara Stone, Saskia de Brauw, Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi, Milla Jovovich and Isabeli Fontana.
It will officially be released in New York on December 6. For now, click through for all the behind-the-scenes shots. Read more »
Since their epic wedding, many media sources have referred to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries as “Hollywood Royalty,” which got us thinking: What exactly does Hollywood Royalty mean today? Certainly not as much as it used to.
I’ll explain: Our grandparents got Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, our parents got Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw and we get…The Kardashians? Somehow, it just doesn’t seem fair.
It’s not that the relationships of yore were so much more wholesome (half of them started when one or both parties were married to other people) but it’s that they seemed to have that X factor–a heady mix of glamour, mystery and money. The Kardashians certainly have one of those, but really, do they make the cut as “Hollywood Royalty”? And if they do, what does that say about our generation?
Click through for a visual guide to the de-evolution of Hollywood Royalty couples.
Inc. magazine just released their annual Inc. 500, a list of the country’s 500 fastest-growing private businesses. Proving that members-only flash sales business model are still sound, online retailer Ideeli scored the number one spot on the list with a three-year sales growth of 40,882% and revenue of $77.7 million.
The New York-based company launched in 2007 and specializes in limited-time sales with a variety of designers and was one of the first to adopt this type of business model in the U.S., shortly after Gilt Groupe. And we knew Ideeli was a major player in the online flash sale site game. These ecommerce sites were one of the only retail platforms to benefit from the recession–brands had excess inventory they needed to move and shoppers wanted deals. Paul Hurley, the founder of Ideeli, told Inc., “The day after Lehman failed, which was a spectacular day for us, you could fire a gun in Saks and not hit anybody.”
Still, we didn’t know it was this big. Currently, ideeli boasts over 4.5 million members and 1,000 brand partners. Here are 10 more interesting facts about this year’s fastest-growing company that you may not have known from Inc.‘s profile:
At the most surface level, I kissed girls because, hey, it’s a good time. Kissing is a sensual experience, and I fancy myself as somewhat of a hedonist who’ll take his pleasures where he can get them.
…
[F]or me the spectacle was nothing without the audience. I’m not saying I rallied crowds to watch the gay get the girl, but being in the vicinity of others not only didn’t make me hesitate, it encouraged me.
…
[I]n a weird way canoodling with women kept me alive to the fact that it’s foolish to shut down my sexual self in the company of the opposite sex. It can be useful, even at work. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not trying to kiss my way to the top. It’s more subtle than that. I work at a fashion magazine, where women are my bosses, colleagues, friends. And with all of them, I’m aware that my masculinity, my attractive guyness, is part of what I offer. Obviously, my professional skills are more important, but if a coworker or superior thinks I’m cute or captivating in some way, great! That gravitational pull is mine to leverage as I can.

If 1995′s Clueless left us wanting more of anything, it was Cher’s budding romance with her ex-step brother Josh, played adorably by Paul Rudd (swoon). The Cut just posted the full Fashion’s Night Out promo featuring the cast of Glee performing ‘Fashion.’ Highlights include Jane Lynch doing claw hands, Heather Morris’ dancing (we wish there were more!) and Lea Michele‘s sexy Balmain mini. Though we almost prefer Dianna Agron in Marc Jacobs and a short blond bob. Lowlights include that Lea Michele, who has a great set of pipes, somehow sounds way more Britney than Bowie. But no one can be like Bowie. And now this makes us crave Bowie.
Gaga is getting a serious makeover: The songstress will get done up in yellow for a guest spot on The Simpsons, where she’ll reportedly kiss Marge Simpson and inspire Lisa to be more confident. {NY Post}

In a touching image we scanned in from the September Vogue spread on Kate Moss’ wedding to Jamie Hince, John Galliano delicately arranges the veil he designed for his longtime friend as she looks backwards, smiling. Despite Galliano’s public condemnation by much of the fashion industry (and the public in general), Moss (who is no stranger to negative press) was always supportive of the ex-Dior designer. This is one of the few pictures we’ve seen of the designer since his anti-Semetic tirade in Paris and subsequent trial and is, if nothing else, a lovely picture of two old friends celebrating a happy day.
