We’re still sad that Jil Sander and Uniqlo are ending their collaboration, but new images of Arizona Muse sporting the +J fall/winter 2011 collection are making us feel a little bit better. Uniqlo launched this special website for the last +J collection ever complete with intense piano music, a slideshow and collection details.

In a way, we’re glad Uniqlo and Jil Sander ended with fall/winter. +J outerwear has always been really strong and this collection looks to be no exception. It hits stores September 7, which is two weeks from today, so you might want to get in line soon.

Iman says her supermodel days are behind her but she’s still got the super touch at the Home Shopping Network. Her “Global Chic” collection for HSN became the second best seller in fashion for the network in three years. So when HSN CEO Mindy Grossman asked Iman to add to her best-selling under $100 collection with more luxe and higher priced accessories she embraced the challenge. It’s called the Platinum Collection and it launches today. The line is comprised of bags, wallets, gloves and coats all done in real leather, suede and pony hair for under $300.

I got a chance to see the collection and chat with Iman about expanding her line at a higher price point when the economy is taking a nosedive, why HSN will be her only foray into the fashion world (read: no more fashion shows or editorial for this supermodel) and her reaction to Vogue Italia’s now infamous “Slave Earrings” feature.

With their ubiquitous last names and increasingly public lives, the Kardashians may be one of the closest things we have to royalty in the states. I know, it’s a sad truth.

The comparison has been especially relevant lately since Kim’s extravagant nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries last weekend, which was basically our royal wedding. Of course, in this scenario, Kris is the one who married into royalty, which is why his friends have apparently started calling him Kate Middleton, Page Six reports.

Cute nickname, Kris! It’s a legitimate comparison, though. Like Middleton, Kris will be spending a lot more time in the public eye and will need to step up his look. As of now, his status as a style icon is uncertain. Hopefully he can handle the pressure.

When celebrities like Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson and Kellan Lutz have their own lines, it’s only a matter of time until someone like Gaga–a self-professed fashion nut (and columnist!)–would get one.

According to Grazia, Lady Gaga will be teaming up with none other than her fashion-designing little sis Natali Germanotta (aka Baby Gaga), who WWD reported last week is up for a gig designing costumes for an Off-Broadway production.

But you may have to hang up your hypothetical meat dresses and lobster hats–Grazia reports the line will be “relatively normal and wearable.”

Have you ever seen an adorable kids clothing item and thought, “I wish that came in my size?” This happens to me quite often, maybe because I tend to want to dress like a little girl. Regardless, it’s recently been brought to my attention that a kid’s size 14 at Crewcuts is about equal to a 0/2 in adult sizing, which is great news, mainly because kids stuff costs less than big girl clothes, but also because they are making some really cute things for kids these days.

I may be at the smaller end of the spectrum size-wise (I’m 5’2″), but there are ways for all shapes and sizes to take advantage of the kids’ section. There are shoes for the small-footed, accessories, and boys clothes, which run quite a bit larger than girls.

You may not be going back to school, but that doesn’t mean you can’t shop the back to school section right now. So, click through for our favorites from Crewcuts, Brooks Brothers, Stella McCartney Kids and more.

Fashion took to Tumblr almost as soon as the microblogging platform launched. A match made in heaven, the image-heavy Tumblr was the perfect way to showcase fashion pix–from editorial inspiration to runway looks to street style. According to a recent report from Mashable, approximately 180 of the top 1,000 Tumblr blogs are fashion related so it made sense that the platform hired a fashion director, Rich Tong, and that it invited 20 Tumblrs to New York Fashion Week last season.

This season, Tumblr will once again import 20 influential fashion bloggers to New York to cover the shows. According to Tumblr spokesperson Katherine Barna, “the selection process for the bloggers this season was much more intensive; we put up an open call for submissions and recommendations, then spent a tremendous amount of time reviewing each and every single blog, evaluating each on original content, level of curation, unique voice, overall aesthetic, followers and traffic.” Candidates were then interviewed before the final selection was made. 16 new bloggers from Tumblr’s fashion community were chosen, and four are repeats from last season. Those four “produced incredible content and really capitalized on the opportunity to advance their professional careers,” says Barna.

So without further ado, here are five of the lucky 20 bloggers who will be at New York Fashion Week at Tumblr’s behest. Tumblr will release the full list tomorrow.

What do you think of Tumblr’s choices this season?

I think Christmas has come early this year, because today we have two whole Muppets-related posts and they weren’t even on our wish list!

In honor of the forthcoming Muppets movie, OPI will release 12 limited-edition nail colors inspired by your favorite puppets. The collection will hit stores early November 2011, just in time for you to nab a shade and wear it for the November 23 premiere of the movie.

The range will include classic and deep reds, two metallic shades and a slew of glittery polishes, including rainbow, red, purple, pink, blue and–of course–a to-die-for green that might make “being green” a little bit easier for Kerm.

And since it’s OPI, one of the best parts of the collection is of course the funny names the nail polish company comes up with. Our favorites?

Leaked photos of a mysterious new LG smartphone have been circulating on technology blogs today. They’re all confused and excited about how it looks like something called an “Optimus 7″ but appears to be running an operating system called “Mango.” Whatever, we’re excited because it has a Jil Sander logo on it. Apparently, it’s a new Jil Sander branded phone, akin to the two Prada has released since 2007. Like everything Jil Sander puts out, it looks very sleek. Click through for more pics!

Name: Premda

Occupation: Designer at Ralph Lauren

Where are you from originally? Germany, but I grew up in India.

How would you describe your style? Usually, pretty classic.

What is the most prominent color in your wardrobe? It used to be black, but I’m trying not to wear so much of it. Growing up in India, everyone wore so much color. My friends would always laugh and say “all black everything” to my closet.

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake just hit somewhere near Richmond, VA and tremors were felt from Washington D.C. to Manhattan (we may have thought there was a particularly hefty person stomping on the roof, at first…). Of course, we turned to Twitter as our first source to find out that, yes, that swaying we felt was, in fact, an actual earthquake in Manhattan of all places. And because fashion people Tweet their every waking moment, we rounded up some of the best reactions to the midday rumble:

Joe Zee (@mrjoezee)
Everyone’s ok at my @ELLEmagazine office here – clearly, since they’re all tweeting like crazy going down 41 flights of stairs. #Earthquake

DKNY PR GIRL (@dkny)
This is when everyone on the Wesrt Coast starts calling us drama queens….

Prabal Gurung (@prabalgurung)
It wasn’t an earthquake. Its momma nature’s tummy rumbling. hee hee.

Eva Chen Bannister (@evachen212)
okay, I’m kind of annoyed that what I assumed was me tripping in my slightly too big Chanel flatforms was actually an earthquake. what.
