Sneak Peek: Inside Carine Roitfeld’s Book, Irreverent, Due Out in October!
By Dhani Mau
About a year ago, we were beyond delighted to learn that Purple editor Olivier Zahm was working on a book about former Paris Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. At that point, the book sounded like an autobiography that Olivier was writing–however, based on photographs that have just popped up on both Style.com and Vogue.com (who also has a funny interview with Carine), it looks to be more of a photographic look back at Roitfeld’s life and career thus far–which makes perfect sense given her legendary styling.
The aptly titled Irreverent, is due out October 18 published by Rizzoli and is currently available to pre-order on Amazon for $63.00. Not bad! Click through for images straight from the 400-page book, including old family photgraphs, some of Carine’s most memorable shoots, Lara Stone and Crystal Renn’s first Paris Vogue appearances, a sweet thank you note from Tom Ford and more. Not included: a shot of Carine wearing nothing but a g-string and white pumps; but, according to Style.com, it’s in there.
Take a look at what’s inside, courtesy of Style.com and Vogue.com.
