Exclusive First Look: Rebecca Minkoff Makes Sunnies for the CFDA/Vogue Eyewear Project and Natalie Suarez Models Them
By Hayley PhelanWe all know Rebecca Minkoff is the master of accessories when it comes to handbags. But how about eyewear? Her latest collaboration with Vogue eyewear answers that question, proving Minkoff can finesse more than just leather.
As a participant in the CFDA/Vogue Eyewear 2011 project, aptly called, “City Collection,” Minkoff designed a pair of wear-anywhere shades inspired by the “rock n’ roll of the Bowery,” something the in-demand designer knows a thing or two about since she herself lives on the famous Manhattan thorough-fare.
To bring the sunglasses to life, Minkoff and Vogue hooked up with Natalie Suarez of popular style blog Natalie Off Duty and we have to say Suarez really works the look in the above video. Plus it’s pretty cute to watch the LA-native mispronounce “Bowery”!
The limited-edition shades will be available at Sunglass Hut starting Sept 29th, so mark those calendars now!
