1. Is anyone surprised that Rodger giggles in his sleep? Didn’t think so.

2. Did Rachel only start to accept that she was having a boy when she realized she could dress him and Rodger in matching outfits?

3. Did Brad “use” Rachel? Guess their parting of ways wasn’t so amicable…

4. We’re glad Jordan is still part of the team, but why is she allowed to wear that sweater?

5. Isn’t it weird that Mandana and Rodger are having this clandestine meeting to talk about Rachel behind her back?

6. Can anyone pay attention to anything other than how hot Jeremiah is during his interview (Rachel and Rodger included)?

Gold and silver are cold and hard, but when applied to the lips, eyes, nails, and even the hair of models on the fall runways, they became warm and glowing. Don’t be afraid to try something unexpected this season.

Carine’s World Part 1 from Barneys The Window on Vimeo.

If you didn’t already worship Carine Roitfeld and covet her well-heeled life, well, you’re about to. If you were already obsessed, we’re sorry: It’s just going to get worse.

Shot by Roitfeld‘s pal Mario Sorrenti for Barneys’ “Carine’s World” campaign, this two-part video shows an intimate peek “into the enticing world of Carine Roitfeld,” following the ex-Voguette from her gorgeous Parisian apartment through taxicab rides, showroom appointments, and an intimate dinner with friends and family.

Kendall Jenner may have been afraid to do runway, but Kylie (left) is apparently welcoming the challenge. The Kardashians‘ younger half-sister will be making her New York Fashion Week debut next Monday at Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion, where Avril Lavigne plans to send her Abbey Dawn collection down the runway, WWD reports. To connect the dots: Avril’s boyfriend is Kylie’s half brother (and former Hills star) Brody Jenner. They’re such a tight-knit family!

The only problem: Kylie just turned 14, which is well below the CFDA-imposed 16-year age minimum for runway models. Since February of this year, when these guidelines were announced, it’s been a gradual adjustment for some–having lead to a recent request by the CFDA that designers start carding models at their shows. We reached out to Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, and here’s what he had to say:

The CFDA Health Initiative guidelines are suggested recommendations put forth for the industry. The latest version has been distributed widely. We are not in a position to police or enforce these recommendations. We can only hope that they are followed and taken seriously and are happy that so many in our industry are acting responsible.

So, should Kylie be karded?

Every season New York fashion week gets bigger and bigger. When Ruth Finley, who is the keeper of the Fashion Calendar (aka your hard copy fashion week bible) started planning and putting out the New York fashion week calendar 65 years ago she estimates there were, at most, five shows a day, no more than one an hour. This Friday alone, on the second day of Fashion Week, there are 34 shows.

“When [New York fashion week] started there was only one show an hour and now we have almost 300 in eight days,” Finley says. “There’s quite a bit of overlapping and there used to be no overlapping.”

While New York fashion week’s exponential growth is undeniably a sign of its health (and that’s a good thing!), that “overlapping” of shows that Finley refers to–when you have five or more shows crammed into an hour–can also hurt the designers who’ve put in all that effort and money to show their wares. As more designers flood the New York fashion week schedule, it becomes more challenging for designers to make sure their collections are presented the best they can be. Top models and styling teams go to bigger labels with more pull and more money. Editors and buyers–though they might not always look it–are human, and can only make it to a limited number of shows per day.

Designers are feeling frustrated.

Last time we checked in with Gaga and Gaultier, she was dressed as a nun getting spanked by JPG, who was dressed as a priest, naturellement.

Now the two are back in an extended preview (which we saw on MTV Style) for their upcoming documentary, Gaga by Gaultier, set to air September 12 in the United States on the CW. Read more »

Any time we see a Tom Ford interview, we get excited, because he has a tendency of saying whatever’s on his mind. His interview in today’s Telegraph is no exception.

He is fresh off a BFA nomination for “Designer Brand of the Year” and was also ostensibly being interviewed about his new full beauty collection–which is set to debut any day now–but the conversation veered towards his womenswear line, filmmaking, and his thoughts on how women age and how they should dress. Here are some of his best quotes, but we recommend that you read the whole article (the interviewer’s cheeky asides are super amusing):

For the third season in a row, ACW Worldwide, the casting agency founded by legendary casting director Andrew Weir, invited us to attend their huge day-long spring/summer 2012 casting this Sunday. As I’m about a foot too short to be a model, we were not there hoping to get a spot in one of the four major shows Weir was casting (Thakoon, Rebecca Taylor, Jen Kao and Rachel Zoe) and we will probably never know what it feels like to be one of the hundreds of gorgeous amazons filing through the Hudson Hotel library all day, walking for an audience of Weir and his staff. However, we now know what it’s like to be on the other side of the table–we got to sit right next to Weir and shadow him for about an hour of non-stop models. It was really fun. And informative.

Click through to get all the dirt on what goes on at a casting table, including why we think it might be a while before underage models are completely filtered out of runway shows, plus tons of photos!

Missoni for Target doesn’t drop until September 13th, but lucky New Yorkers will get a chance to shop the collection–which the internet has been practically drooling over–as soon as September 8th.

Missoni and Target are opening up shop at 1095 Sixth Avenue (at 42nd Street) on Fashion’s Night Out. But don’t get too excited: The store will only be open for three days, or as long as supplies last–which considering the hype around this collection may not be long–and we’re sure all three days will be completely BANANAs.

So, in order to stay sane (and maximize your shopping time) we’ve done some careful research and come up with the top 10 smartest purchases from the Missoni for Target collection.

Click through to see our top 10 picks.
