Get Work-Ready with Gap’s New Premium Pant Line

Thursday, Sep 1, 2011 / 12:00 PM

September is right around the corner and you know what that means: A major Fall wardrobe update is in order! But where to begin? Thankfully, Gap has just what the doctor ordered: An Exclusive Fall Preview Pant Sale!

Now we all know that when it comes to denim, Gap is the golden standard. Seriously, where would we be without our faded-to-perfection 1969 jeans. But this season, with Gap’s latest Premium Pant Line collection, they’re guaranteed to become an office wardrobe staple too. The line, which offers Gap’s famed guaranteed-to-make-your-butt-look-good fit in office-appropriate fabrics and colors, has a fresh batch of colors and styles that check off a lot of boxes on our Fall shopping list—from classics reinvented in pinstripe and plaid to skinny cropped pants. We’re particularly smitten with the wideleg trouser pant, which will make rocking Fall’s menswear-inspired runway trend a piece of cake.

The best part is that you can nab all of Fall's latest trends and styles for exclusively-low prices (we're talking some as low as $35, here!) during Gap's Fall Preview Pant sale in-store and online. But act fast--the offer lasts for a limited time only, and we have a feeling the collection will go fast!

It’s September, which means a new collection of Olsen-approved tees are available to StyleMint members and a new behind-the-scenes video is up. Read more »

BeachMint is having a very, very good year.

In October 2010, the internet start-up partnered with Kate Bosworth and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter to launch JewelMint–a members-only site that sells exclusively-designed jewelry by Bosworth and Coulter. Then, in July 2011, BeachMint launched StyleMint–a similar shopping platform, except this time with the Olsens shilling t-shirts. Now, WWD, is reporting that the online powerhouse is ready for its next venture: Beauty.

BeachMint is partnering with Jessica Simpson and celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to sell anti-aging skincare using the same retail model as JewelMint and StyleMint.

Summer’s just about over, but teenage girls dreading the return to high school after Labor Day will at least have one thing to look forward to: Blogger-turned editor Tavi Gevinson‘s new online (and sometimes print) magazine, Rookie, which promises to speak to teenage girls the way Sassy did before Tavi was born.

Rookie will go live this Monday on rookiemag.com. It may seem odd to launch on a holiday, but Rookie’s publishing schedule is reportedly tailored to that of a teenage girl (three posts per day: one after school, one after dinner, one before bed)–and, chances are, a lot of teenage girls are going to be sitting at home on their computers monday night dreading the fate that awaits them in the morning.

Here are all of the important details we’ve scooped up from WWD, the Times and the blog that started it all, Style Rookie!

Well, this is certainly a good-looking couple. Scarlett, who? It’s a good day today, because we get we get to see the gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley twice. The stunner (and body in the Burberry body ads) and Ryan Reynolds are featured in the new ads for Brit retailer Marks & Spencer. Rosie is obviously an It-Brit so another stint with an iconic British brand makes sense. Ryan Reynolds as a choice is a bit of a head-scratcher, though he said in a statement (read it at People Style Watch) that as a Canadian, he grew up going to Marks & Spencer. So he’s totally legit. We’ve seen the ads and been teased with a short snippet of video, but here she is in all her peaches-and-cream glory, as shot by Mario Testino: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in her Burberry Body commercial. She very slowly unbuttons her trench while staring at us beguilingly. A few spritzes of fragrance, then she’s laying on the ground half naked. OK. Burberry is obviously going for sensual glamour here, and they nailed it. Read more »
