For next month’s cover of Vogue Italia, Steven Meisel shot Raquel Zimmermann in a crowd of suits, slightly jostled but holding her own on what is meant to be the A-train. We think this is the only time the MTA has ever been stylish. The accompanying editorial is appropriately titled “The Commute” and features Zimmermann as various incarnations of NYC girls, all of whom we’ve seen on the subway before (albeit in much lower-priced versions of Zimmermann’s looks).

Check out the gallery to see the entire 14-page spread. What’s your favorite NYC style?

The past four days have been a non-stop party for a lot of fashion people here in New York. And those Halloween parties have been well-documented. The Tribeca Grand’s Overlook Hotel party, the Boom Boom Room’s fete and last night’s V party hosted by Terry Richardson drew the most fashion-heavy crowds and, as we all know, fashion people like to dress up. They also seem to like obscure references–many of their costumes were tough to identify, but still fun to look at. So, from Alexa Chung to Joan Smalls to Marc Jacobs, here are a bunch of fashion people in their Halloween best!

OPI’s spring colors are inspired by the Netherlands. The color range draws from the country’s famed tulip fields to, um, smoked fish and clogs. The colors are great but the names are even better. There’s “I Have a Herring Problem” (a stormy grey), “Wooden Shoe Like To Know” (a reddish hue, obvs), “Vampsterdam” (a deep grape), “A Roll in the Hague” (a bold pumpkin shade), “Peddle Faster Suzi” (it’s bicycle bubblegum pink), and the barely-there green “Thanks A WindMillion.”

Check out the individual images below. Which ones are you setting your sights on for February?

So, as you’ve no doubt heard by now, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are getting divorced after just 72 days of being married. Kim confirmed her divorce to her overlord producer Ryan Seacrest earlier today and TMZ has the docs to prove it which cite “irreconcilable differences”.

In a statement Kim said, “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.“ Her soon-to-be ex Kris Humphries appears to have been blindsided by the news, having released his own statement to TMZ saying, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce…I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We don’t believe any of it. At this point, don’t you feel a little taken? After the reported $18 million Kardashian and Ko. are estimated to have made off the wedding from television rights, photo placements, advertising and product placements, it’s hard not to see our ‘royal’ wedding as one big money making scam. And we bet the vendors involved, including Vera Wang who personally appeared in E!’s wedding special and designed Kim’s three wedding dresses, are none too pleased about how this is going down either.

It’s not a secret that men are getting into fancy grooming products. Many companies which offer beauty products specifically designed for men have sprouted up, and established brands like Kiehl’s have unisex packaging that makes it really popular among girls and boys alike. Guyliner has a long and glorious history among rock’n'roll gods thanks to the likes of Keith Richards and pretty much every band from the 80s. Are MANicures the final frontier in men’s grooming?

She conquered the fashion industry one skintight dress at a time and practically made a trademark out of her platinum hair and tanned skin. Now with the Versace for H&M collection about to hit stores in a matter of weeks, she’s also the lady of the hour. Of course, we’re talking about Donatella Versace. (Is there any other?)

To get everyone prepped for that collection to hit stores (yes, we mean Versace for H&M) there’s been an onslaught of profiles featuring none other than Ms. Donatella, most notably in The Daily Beast and Style.com’s new print mag, Style.com/Print and here are the best tidbits to emerge so far.

Ever since America’s Next Top Model began 17 ‘cycles’ ago, there’s been a “curse” attached to alums of the show: no one who had ever been on ANTM could book a real modeling job. But it seems like the curse is lifting. First Fatima Siad, a runner-up from Cycle 10, walked the runways for Dries Van Noten and Hermès this season, and told The Cut she’s booked Hervé Léger’s spring 2012 campaign.

And now last season’s winner, Brittani Kline, has landed a six page editorial in Vogue Mexico–a job totally unrelated to her ANTM prize spread in Beauty in Vogue for Vogue Italia, which was also just released.

Marc Jacobs Is Going To Be In A Movie: Marc Jacobs let a little secret slip at the WSJ Innovator of the Year Awards this weekend: “I got cast in a role in a movie,” he told Style.com. “They’re filming next week and I’m excited. I get to play a character that’s not myself at all.” Wonder what movie it is? {WWD}

Missed Connection From the YSL Sample Sale: Whoever was wearing purple pants and had a bunch of shoes was apparently the “prettiest girl” at the YSL sample sale last week; the mystery woman inspired a missed connection that fills me with jealousy for this man who is both sentimental and a fan of YSL. {Racked}

Pippa Middleton Might Be Writing A Book On Party Planning: Pippa apparently organized her sister’s April wedding reception and frequently works for her parents party planning business, and is reportedly meeting with publishing houses to work out a party planning book deal. Brace yourself for round 2 of Middleton mania. {Daily Mail}

Remember that scary and boob-filled Agent Provocateur short film we showed you last week? It was to promote today’s online launch of the lingerie brand’s new Soiree collection, which is described in WWD as “high-end” and “ultraluxurious.” Sarah Shotton, creative director of Agent Provocateur told the trade, “It’s about dressing up, luxury and a lot of hand-embellishment…It’s really fun…I get to use very beautiful fabrics.”

All of that hand-embellishment and beautiful fabric, which includes things like napa leather and Swarovski crystals, will cost you. Prices range from $312 for knickers to $24,000 for a one-off piece that you’ll have to fly to London to get your hands on: It’s a playsuit handmade from tassels and Swarovski glass beads sold exclusively at Harrod’s. Doesn’t that just sound like the one thing missing from your closet right now?

Vogue recently published a feature on “glamping.” (Yes, that’s glamorous camping. Oxymoron, you say? Who cares? It’s Vogue!). The story includes a recommended packing list and suggestions on where to stay on your next camping trip for “less cost (and carbon) than jetting off to St. Moritz.”

So how much exactly will this Vogue-approved camping trip (that the mag almost made sound like a budget travel option) set you back, you ask? According to She Finds, it’ll cost you a whopping $31, 349 when you factor in a week’s stay and all of the items suggested in Vogue’s packing list. (But that’s just pennies when compared to a trip to St. Moritz, dahling!)
