Low-slung, navel baring everything
From skirts to pants; the runways to the streets, the early aughties were all about exposing that tantalizing strip of skin between your belly button and your…well…you know. Another very cool thing was to have your thong peeking out from your ridiculously low waisted bottoms. Very sophisticated stuff, we know. But actually, Olivier Theyskens already kind of went there with his latest Spring 2012 collection for Theyskens’ Theory, showing pants and shorts with two waistlines (and inspired by sagging pants over mens’ underwear) so the thong-ified version may not be too far off.
P.S. Can we just talk about Tara Reid’s torso!? WTF!
