Miss Piggy Lands Editorial Spread in November's InStyle Wearing Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, and More

We've already examined Miss Piggy's style evolution, which has definitely entered a new, high-fashion period as she's on the cusp of opening her first new movie in 12 years. (Well, she's technically part of an ensemble cast, but Piggy obviously shines and will find a way to the top of the movie poster). While her style tends to run a bit to the drag queen side of the spectrum--which we support and embrace--she's just landed an eight-page editorial spread in November's InStyle, WWD reports, wearing some of the classiest designers in the business. Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Suno, Opening Ceremony, Brian Atwood, and Giles & Brother all created custom pieces especially for the diva's InStyle spread. Jason Wu (at left) went with his signature feathers, while Prabal Gurung (below) opted for a more sedate all-white number. You can see the whole editorial on Friday when the mag hits newsstands.

The designers really took Miss Piggy's unique proportions into account. Gurung told WWD, "The Empire waist really complements her figure.” Brian Atwood went with black strappy sandals, telling the trade, “The strappy sandal seemed to work best to complement her hoofs." (This just proves that if designers really put their minds to it, they can dress all body types.)

We can't wait to see where Miss Piggy ends up next. Dare we hope for Vogue? Even Anna Wintour couldn't resist Piggy's persuasive charms.
