Missoni for Target Fallout Continues: Shoppers Receive $25 Gift Card to Target Instead of Order (and No Explanation)
By Hayley PhelanWoops. Looks like Missoni for Target has an even bigger customer service problem on their hands than we thought.
The Hairpin‘s Jean Marie posted this picture of a gift card she recently received in the mail saying, “Look at what came in the mail yesterday. This is the entirety of the note: ‘Regarding your Missoni for Target order.’ And then at the bottom it says the card is worth $25. That’s it! That is all the info. I might cry. Should I cry?”
We feel for her, and apparently she’s not alone: Based on the reader comments on the story, several shoppers received similar gift cards in the mail this week–instead of their back-ordered Missoni for Target items. Which is kind of funny because as everyone knows, a $25 gift card to Target is not the same thing as Missoni for Target, especially when you consider how much the collection’s pieces are selling for on eBay.
Let’s hope Target won’t make the same mistake with their next collaboration with Jason Wu. Because we really want it.
