Here is Nicholas Kirkwood‘s spring/summer 2012 collection to distract you from your first day back at work after the long weekend. For spring, Kirkwood was garden-inspired and covered his stilettos in prints of birds in flight (made to look like florals). But it’s those voluminous iridescent bow-ed party shoes we know we’ll see on countless red carpets. They look good enough to eat. Yum.

Take a look.

Versace x H&M Continues to Tease Us: Two new pictures of Versace for H&M’s ad campaign have surfaced and this time we’ve got an actual price tag on one of the garments: $199 for a mini dress. {Lucky}

Speaking of covetable goods from H&M: Check out new photos of their fall conscious collection. {FabSugar}

Rihanna is Naked, Again: This time for Esquire. They dub her the sexiest woman alive. Hard to disagree. She’s also not mad at Chris Brown anymore. {Esquire}

Mischa Gets Beefy: Literally. Mischa Barton posed with raw steaks for photographer Tyler Shields. We don’t know why. It’s weird. {Tyler Shields}

How’s this for a mind fuck: Nicola Formichetti has designed virtual clothes for a three-dimensional avatar, based on Mugler model Rico Genest, for a video game called Eve. Says the designer: “I mean if you could make your own avatar, and if you could dress yourself up, I think people will be buying virtual goods.” So now we’ll be expected to drop wads of cash on garments that don’t actually exist? {Dazed Digital}

“One of the nail colors was first called Bitter Chocolate, and it is such a dark, dramatic shade that I changed it to Bitter Bitch. My favorite is Lost Cherry [a lip color]. If you wear it, and you haven’t, then you just might.”

-Tom Ford in the October issue of Allure, discussing his new makeup range and how he comes up with the “racy shade names.” Read more »

Kanye West is many things. He’s a successful music producer, rapper, most recently a clothing designer, but, a man of the people?

Apparently so. Yeezy showed up on Wall Street yesterday in support of the Occupy Wall Street protests against growing economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government in the United States. This would be all fine and well for West…except that he showed up in a Givenchy plaid shirt, which, Racked NY points out, cost a whopping $355. Kanye is also sporting a heap of gold chains–one of which appears to be the nameplate necklace from his dw by Kanye West line.

The UK is really on top of advertisers, and they’re quick to impose rules about “appropriate” messages. They famously banned a sexy Beyoncé fragrance commercial back in January, and a YSL Opium ad which had a perceived drug message. They’ve also called out beauty companies for airbrushing and not disclosing it.

Their latest target is sexy billboards. The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) laid out all sorts of new guidelines for advertisers to consider before their ads can be placed outdoors, especially if it is near a place where there’s a high concentration of kids. If an ad fails to meet the criteria, it can’t be placed within 100 yards of a school or childcare facility (or maybe not anywhere, depending on how raunchy it is.)

Conde Nast is ready for their close-up. With circulation numbers down (except for at Vogue) and ad sales still struggling, the storied publishing house is looking to cash in elsewhere: The TV and movie biz.

WWD reports that Conde Nast has launched a fully-fledged entertainment division and has already named Dawn Ostroff as president. As former president of the CW and UPN, Ostroff is responsible for bringing us such gems as America’s Next Top Model and The Vampire Diaries.

While it’s clear the new entertainment division will be responsible for developing, creating, producing and distributing original television, film and digital initiatives, little else is known about what specific projects may be in the works. “It could mean films, it could mean documentaries, it could mean television shows, it could mean digital series or digital content, it could be digital channels,” Ostroff told WWD. “And it could be across all platforms: Cable channels, cable broadcast networks. It ranges across the board.”

Beyoncé, Sexy & Pregnant. That’s the obvious headline that accompanies Beyoncé’s cover for the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar. But the accompanying cover story tells us some fun facts about Beyoncé and the designers that love her. Oh, and she looks amazing in the editorial, shot by Terry Richardson–click through for pix.

Here’s what we learned:

- Beyoncé working on a maternity line for House of Deréon, the line she produces with her mom Tina. “I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant,” Beyoncé told Bazaar. “Flowy fabrics are always flattering…but I still rock my stilettos.”

- Designers Love Beyoncé. Everyone from Azzedine Alaïa to Tom Ford to Riccardo Tisci weighs in with praise for the superstar. In a fantastic little aside, we also learn that Alaïa listens to Beyoncé all the time and can dance the “Single Ladies” dance. Now we cannot picture anything else. Here’s what these hot shot designers had to say about Bey:

Tavi Gevinson now has two L’Officiel covers under her belt. Last month, her cover for the Paris edition of the magazine’s 90th anniversary issue was released, which sees her perched on top of an oversized chair dressed as old school Tavi replete with the grey bob and giant hair accessory and, weirdly, head-to-toe Chanel. For L’Officiel’s Netherlands edition, which was also shot by the legendary Jean-Paul Goude and is possibly from the same shoot, she’s modern day Tavi with strawberry blond locks and ’90s-inspired mixed prints. Which cover do you prefer? Read more »

As we move into fall, it’s starting to get a little too cold for ballet flats. And as much we love a good pair of four-inch booties, sometimes our feet need a break–from discomfort, not style. Add a little extra protection from the elements and we’re sold.

Thus, we are really loving this season’s flat booties. No, we’re not talking about Dr. Martens (not that we have anything against those), but there are far chicer options thanks to labels ranging from Proenza to Chloé to Zara. Click through for 11 that we’d like to run around in all season long.

Don’t forget to stock up on socks!

“I really take the time to choose my models: I don’t think one should ever be a model-guzzler. One must give the model a spirit.”
