Juicy Couture is all about bringing the glamorous and fun side of fashion into the everyday (okay, and sometimes tedious) task of getting dressed in the morning. Enter their Northern Star Mini Bag–guaranteed to spice up any wardrobe. With tonal sequins and an iconic chain strap–it’d be pretty hard to put this baby on and not smile. (Go ahead and try, we dare you).

To capture the fashion-forward spirit of this piece and others, Juicy has tapped blogger/photographer Jamie Beck and her Web designer fiancée, Kevin Burg of the ever popular (and aesthetically exquisite) tumblr From Me to You.

Instead of mere two-dimensional photos, the duo will create a series of Cinemagraphs (a more sophisticated version of a GIF) for the brand’s Tumblr, Facebook and also to be featured in the collection’s display ads. “We were captivated by Jamie and Kevin’s work and see it not just as a trend of animated images happening in the blogosophere, but a new form of photography and art that they have really perfected,” said Matthew Ellenberger, SVP Creative Services of Juicy Couture. “With their vision behind the lens and our designs, it’s a perfect mix to make a digital impact.”

We couldn’t agree more. For anyone unfamiliar with the blogging duo’s work, Beck and Burg seamlessly blend beautiful images with looped video content, so that the overall effect is both eerily lifelike and completely hypnotic–We swear, we could watch some of their cinemagraphs for hours. And with the campaign’s subject already being so captivating, we’ll no doubt be glued to our screens even longer!

Kendall Jenner’s body looks pretty banging in Aussie label White Sands swimsuit shoot. But she’s also only 15. This makes us feel conflicted.

Of course, we’re not exactly surprised. Kendall and little sis 14-year-old Kylie have already walked the runway (defying a little thing called the CFDA-imposed 16-year-old age minimum) and Kendall has starred in risque shoots before. And after all, this is the family who shot to fame after big sis Kim Kardashian starred in a sex tape.

What’s more, Kendall is only slightly younger than the average model, and many girls get their start at just 15–Karlie Kloss and Lindsay Wixson come to mind.

In news that does not surprise us at all, the always-stylish Rachel Bilson will be the next celebrity to partner with BeachMint on a new ecommerce site. Bilson follows fellow actresses-cum-designers Kate Bosworth (JewelMint) and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (StyleMint) and singer Jessica Simpson (BeautyMint) in collaborating with the social commerce platform. Like Kate, Rachel is working with her friend and stylist Nicole Chavez. And since jewelry, tees and beauty products are all covered, they’re doing footwear! The site, which is set to launch in November, will be called ShoeMint and they are partnering with Steve Madden on affordable shoes.

We love Rachel’s style and have to admit we kind of saw this coming–she was JewelMint’s first guest curator and like Kate, Rachel is one of those actresses who, regardless of whether or not she’s working on anything, is constantly in magazines and gossip blogs because of what she’s wearing. I mean, her most memorable acting role is still The O.C., which ended in 2007 and she hasn’t really fallen off our radar since. Though, her new show Hart of Dixie seems promising (right?).

Technology is great and all (and we couldn’t survive without it), but let’s be honest: it’s not always great looking. Touchscreens, portable readers and laptops have traditionally been boxy and boring. While that trend is slowly changing as tech becomes sleeker, fashion is helping to speed the process up a bit. Luckily, designers know that we, as both technology and shopping addicts, want to make our handheld devices look just as cute as our outfits, and there are tons of great items out there that do the trick.

Take my phone, for example. It may be smart, but its design is fairly uninteresting from a fashion standpoint. So, I keep a collection of cases in rotation and change them up to match my outfit or mood. After all, a phone is the one accessory you’re never, ever without–why should it look the same every day? You can find covers in almost every store, from reusable sticky skins to heavy-duty hard cases (for us accident-prone users), to make your phone a little less basic. My favorite idea? Reusable stickers–Chanel makes adorable lipstick print ones. It doesn’t stop there though; what about your headphones? You wouldn’t leave your ears naked on a night out–your earbuds deserve the same treatment. Toss those boring factory-issued buds for something crazy; the studs on these Lady Gaga’s Heartbeat 2.0 could just about function as earrings.

You might not be changing up your laptop as frequently, but who says you have to stick with that plain white fruit-shaped logo? PARIS–15-year-old Miu Miu campaign face Hailee Steinfeld looked perfectly adorable (and age appropriate) at yesterday’s Miu Miu show in a flouncy beige party frock with a pink bodice and oversized bow at the back. It’s been a whirlwind year for the actress since she burst onto the scene after her standout performance in True Grit, and endeared herself to the fashion set wearing well-chosen Prada, Miu Miu and Stella McCartney looks on the red carpet. She sealed the deal with Miu Miu and landed their stellar Bruce Weber-shot fall campaign.

If Kanye West thought that he was done reading embarrassing things about his debut collection, he unfortunately has one more to get through. In the New York Times, Eric Wilson explored some of the hurdles Kanye is facing and also analyzes whether or not the rapper really understands what he needs to do to improve. Plus Wilson got some absolutely golden quotes from fashion industry people about the collection.

The piece starts off with this gem, after describing that f-bomb heavy speech Kanye gave at his after party:

“I gave you everything that I had,” [Kanye] said, one of his few printable remarks.
If that is true, Mr. West faces bigger obstacles in life than credit-card debt. His show was described by those who attended as, at best, a disappointment, and yet the rapper could be found almost everywhere during Paris Fashion Week defending himself.

PARIS–”I think it was a good match when they chose me,” Manish Arora said after his first show at the helm of Paco Rabanne, which has not shown ready to wear since 2006. A good match, indeed. Arora, whose own line is known for campy showmanship, a yen for the sci-fi, and the use of vivid colors, was well suited to take on the label started by Rabanne in 1966.

Rabanne’s first revolutionary collection in 1966 was called “12 unwearable dresses”–dresses made of unconventional materials like metal and plastic. Arora’s debut collection for the line paid homage to that first Rabanne collection with paneled chain mail dresses that fit like gloves. “The workmanship is similar [between my own line and Paco Rabanne's],” Arora said. “We like to work hard, we like to make dresses that take 25 people and 20 days to make and that’s the value of Paco Rabanne that I appreciate and that’s the common factor.”

Light was paramount to the collection, Rabanne said, and futuristic mini dresses with exaggerated hips and strong shoulders were done in shiny high gloss materials that reflected the neon lights of the entrance space of the Centre Pompidou museum, the appropriate modern setting for show.

Box, accordion, top-stitch, knife, plisse… the parade of pleats this spring has been a bit overwhelming, though quite welcome. While they come in many forms, designers are favoring sheer fabrics for pleated skirts. In fact, despite being a familiar trend which has been kicking around for the past few seasons, it seems to have gained some additional momentum, as we’ve noticed Prada and Chloe using the technique for their spring collections.
