You might want to invest in some really nice bras and panties come spring–you know, the kind you won’t mind everyone seeing. That is unless you want to wear these looks directly off the Paris runways–in which case, just throw them out.

There’s always a bit of nudity on the runways, especially in Paris where they just don’t care as much, but from completely sheer frocks, to hip-high slits (and Karlie Kloss’ bare bum closing Dior), we’ve seen more of models than usual. While we don’t mind a little nudity on the runway, let’s just hope this trend doesn’t catch on with the red carpet crowd (Lindsay Lohan, we’re looking at you).

And now, without further ado, our favorite peek-a-boo moments from the collections.

It’s been a very good year for Vogue: First, the famed fashion title was the only publication of its kind to see a rise in sales (up 12%) this year, and now Advertising Age has named it the Magazine of the Year.

Every year Ad Age doles out the award to a publication they feel has “excelled on one front or many–meeting a challenge, turning things around, building new businesses or just setting a consistent editorial and business example one more time.” And according to the trade paper, Vogue was the magazine that really stepped it up this year, increasing newsstand sales, ad pages and, perhaps most importantly, its brand image. “Vogue‘s role off the page–most recently with the latest installment of Fashion’s Night Out–keeps expanding as well.”

PARIS–We always look forward to Miu Miu as our final show of Paris Fashion Week. The front row is reliably stacked with their darling devotees–campaign girl Hailee Steinfeld was there looking lovelier than ever in a Miu Miu party frock with a giant pink bow on the back; so was actress Juno Temple, and too many It-girls to count (Alexa Chung, Elettra Wiedemann, Poppy Delevigne, Caroline Sieber, and the Courtin Clarins girls to name just a few).

Come spring, those It-girls will be clamoring for pointy toed mules that looked part Wicked Witch of the East (after Dorothy’s house has landed on her) and part Louis XIV. The knee-high boot version with cowgirl-esque leather floral appliques up the side will be in-demand too, no doubt. As will their matching lady-like purses. The more daring trendsetters (and street style stars) will go for the little garden pail bags in bright satins.

While the accessories were cheery, the show opened on a rather moody note.

Despite the fact that John Galliano was found guilty of making anti-Semitic slurs, many people within the fashion industry are saying the couturier will make a comeback.

The latest person to voice their support for the designer is actress Eva Green, who told Vogue UK, “He will make a comeback, I just know it.” This comes after a string of big-name
industry players have come out to show their support. When asked whether or not Galliano could come back to fashion, Dior’s current head designer (and long-time Galliano collaborator) Bill Gaytten told the Financial Times, “We’ll see. It’s not over until it’s over. I can’t say any more than that right now.” As for Vogue Italy’s always-provocative Editor in Chief Franca Sozzani, she bluntly told The Daily Beast that Dior should, “Hire John Galliano back.”

Carine Roitfeld threw a launch party for her new book Irreverent in Paris last night. The theme was bal des vampires, meaning it was basically this season’s answer to last year’s French Vogue masquerade ball.

The fashion crowd went with the theme–some full on (Olivier Theyskens), some only slightly more vampiric than usual (Julia Restoin Roitfeld), some just dressed in black (Kanye West) and one guest wore a giant red Giles Deacon X Stephen Jones swan on her head (guess who!). It’s hard to tell whether or not Karl Lagerfeld dressed up and Karlie Kloss let us know that her recent penchant for near-nudity is not relegated to magazines and runways. She wore a risqué black Anthony Vaccarello gown (which she also wore on the runway) that revealed most of her torso and had a slit that went all the way to the hip.

If anything, this was a pretty awesome party idea–and just in time for Halloween. Who do you think did vampire chic best?

PARIS–There was a lot to love about Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s spring collection for Valentino: 1) gorgeous red-carpet-worthy lace and sheer gowns, in the usual palette of Valentino-red, black and beige, livened up with floral embroidery done in Jil Sander spring 2011-esque fluorescents; 2) the signature ruffles were there but there was also a fresh new strapless tent silhouette that fell straight away from the body; 3) they made eveningwear look good with flats; 4) there was air conditioning (wha happened, Lanvin?).

When we first heard that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was launching a tuxedo line, we feared the worst. I mean this is the man who Abercrombie & Fitch offered six figures to stop wearing their clothes. Well the look book has finally arrived (via MTV Style) and we have to say, it’s actually worse than we expected.

The tuxedo line for FLOW Formal Wear, is (of course) called The Situation, and the brand has definitely stayed true to its name with their latest Jersey-fied look book. Between Sitch’s creepy pouts and supremely awkward modeling poses–not to mention the general tackiness of the collection–we’re not sure what the skeeziest part of this look book is. Though we’re probably going to have to go with the ladies giving come-hither glances (and in one case, lying down on a bed) in the background–there’s a different one in almost every each shot (and sometimes multiple ladies).

The Office‘s Mindy Kaling Relaunches Blog, is Hilarious and Awesome: The Concerns of Mindy Kaling is full of honest and LOL-worthy observations and tips, like what jewelry to wear if “you want to look laid back but rich, like say, Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend.” There’s a good chance you’ll start believing she’s your actual BFF… word of warning. {MTV Style}

Apparently Wearing Makeup Makes You More Likable: Studies conducted by Procter & Gamble, which (a bit suspiciously) produces a huge array of makeup products, show that women who wear makeup are perceived as more likable, competent, and trustworthy than those who do not. The only exception was for women wearing “glam” makeup, who seemed less trustworthy. Are you listening, Kardashian Klan? {The Gloss}

Lindsay Lohan at PFW with Fash Folk: Remind me again, what exactly does Lindsay Lohan do these days, aside from being photographed? Here’s the… ahem, actress, hanging out and making various hand gestures with Terry Richardson, Lindsey Wixson, and Charlotte Free in Paris. {Refinery29 via Terry’s Diary}

The latest issue of French Revue de Modes features stunning, scantily clad plus-size model Robyn Lawley on the cover.

The cover is, no doubt, a step in the right direction for fashion’s continual diversification–and it’s something women of all shapes and sizes can be happy about. While we are semi-annoyed that it’s another plus-size model not actually wearing much clothing, the more covers they land, the better. But we wish the press would stop being so obsessive about how big or small models are.
