Rodarte for Barbie?! Think again. This Vincent van Gogh inspired Barbie and the SS12 Rodarte collection aren’t related, but they look nearly identical.

From the fifties silhouette of the dress, to the purple bejeweled shoes, to the model’s flipped hair and heavy eyeshadow, Barbie and Rodarte have a lot in common. And here’s the catch, van Gogh Barbie was released on June 16, 2011, three months before the Rodarte collection was shown at New York Fashion Week. So maybe Kate and Laura Mulleavy should add Barbie to their list of references?
