Happy Thanksgiving! Designers and Other Fashion Folks Put Their Spin on Paper Hand Turkeys

The holidays are all about nostalgia and one of the things we've been nostalgic about lately is hand turkeys! You know, that childhood arts and crafts thing where you trace your hand and make it look like a turkey? To be honest, we aren't all that crafty anymore, but our fashion friends, like Erica Domesek from P.S. I Made This for example, are like the craftiest people ever, so we asked them to help us out with this little project and they obliged. Erica helped us assemble hand turkey-making kits, which we then sent out to some of our favorite designers, editors and other fashion peeps who then created some of the most impressive hand turkeys we've ever seen (we are super thankful for all of you!!). Click through to see them and find out what these brilliant artists are thankful for this year, and have a very happy Thanksgiving (or just a nice Thursday).

Erica Domesek: "I'm thankful for SO much, especially my best friend and business partner Jackie. I would be lost without her. PS- She's the turkey on the right I'm on the left.

P.S.- I made this... turkey hand artwork out of: construction paper, feathers, duct tape, coffee filter, pipe cleaners, tulle, gems, sharpies, rhinestones, glitter paint, accordion trim."

Sitting together at the table to create our turkey with some glue, paper, sequins and leaves was a lot of fun. Sometimes it's the simple things we take for granted that we need to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving."

Kaelen: "I'm embarrassed; I'm sorry. But I learned something about myself while doing this task: firstly, I don't think I know what a turkey looks like. Secondly, bedazzling doesn't always help. But I'm Canadian, so it's not my fault."

Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur, Of a Kind: "He's wearing the ALL Knitwear hat we're releasing tomorrow because he's so ahead of the curve. And! We are thankful for our kick-ass designers—like Sarah Fox from Cursive Design who got us the amazing glitter nail polish the turkey is proudly flaunting on his feathers for Of a Kind's b-day."
