JERRY-HALL-GEORGIA-JAGGER

Georgia May Jagger and Jerry Hall for H&M: No Sears family portraits for this lot! Here’s Jerry Hall and her equally gorgeous daughter Georgia May Jagger posing in H&M’s new campaign. Wonder if they got any matted and framed? Or on a key chain. {HuffPo}

Jaeger Designing Uniforms For Will and Kate’s Home: The beloved British heritage brand will be designing the new uniforms for the royal couple’s front of house team at Kensington Palace. Guess that means I’ll have to find someone else to design mine…. {Telegraph}

Rachel Zoe Won’t Let Jennifer Garner Wear Maternity: The super stylist has apparently banned Jen from wearing maternity clothes to events, but with four more months to go, Garner says it’s going to have to happen “sooner or later.” Or she could just go the Jamie Lynn Spears route and wear really huge t-shirts. {InStyle}

When Sarah Mower speaks, the fashion industry listens. And with good reason too: The industry veteran, who’s reported for Style.com and Vogue, is also the British Fashion Council’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent, a post which, it goes without saying, has the potential to make or break careers.

So how does Mower know, unfailingly, which designer’s going to make it, and which one will fall flat?

It appears that the first Versace for H&M TV commercial has been released in full and it might be the most fun TV commercial we’ve seen since Chanel’s finger dancing. H&M’s creative director joked in a behind-the-scenes teaser that they must have used “all the gold plate in London” for the film and that seems possible. The sets, which include a hamster wheel and a conveyor belt, are just as elaborate and over-the-top as everything involved with Versace for H&M. Read more »

2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - Runway

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be filmed today and although the models always talk about how much fun it is, we bet many of them will breathe sighs of relief once it’s all over because that means their weird, crazy diets will be over too. Those outfits are pretty unforgiving, so everyone’s been asking the VS angels what they’ve been doing to get in shape for the show and many of them are open about it.

If you thought they all did the same starving and constantly working out routine, you’d be wrong. They all have their own method (or their nutritionists and trainers do, at least). So, whose worked the best? Click through to learn their tricks.

The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has struck again, this time against the ads for Marc Jacobs’ latest fragrance, Oh Lola!. The ads feature Dakota Fanning holding a huge bottle of perfume between her legs. The ASA will consider banning ads if it receives enough complaints, which is what happened in this case.

The ASA said, according to the Telegraph:

Last night Versace and H&M pulled out all the stops–and we mean all of them–to put on a runway show and party to celebrate their collaboration, which hits stores on November 19. Pier 57 was transformed into “Versace Hall” complete with a mirror-walled cocktail lounge (made to resemble Versace’s show space in Milan) and a wood paneled runway in a pattern that seemed to mimic Versace’s Greek fret motif (and also ensured everyone got a front row seat).

Everyone except Anna Wintour was there (and maybe she was and we just didn’t see her?): performers Prince and Nicki Minaj (wearing an enormous green wig and sequined Versace for H&M) sat to watch the show; celebs, all dressed in h-to-t Versace for H&M, included Blake Lively, Uma Thurman, Jessica Alba, Chace Crawford, Chloe Moretz, Jennifer Hudson and Alan Cumming; there were designers aplenty from Joseph Altuzarra to Alexander Wang to Christopher Kane; in keeping with the collection’s ’90s theme, ’90s supermodels Linda Evangelista and Helena Christensen were there; and there were too many stylists and editors and socialites to count.

“It looks good,” Minaj told us about the collection as she walked the red carpet. “All the stuff they brought to my room today I was like, ‘I’m keeping that!’ Minaj confessed that she fell in her platform Versaces during the filming for her Superbass video but she said, “I’m not taking them off, fashion is pain, and I’m keeping them on, and Superbass went on to be such a big song, so maybe Versace’s good luck.”

We first heard back in August about Lady Gaga‘s upcoming holiday collaboration with Barneys, in which a floor at the legendary Madison Avenue store will be turned into Gaga’s Workshop. A lot more details have finally been released, and it’s going to be like a modern day rendering of The Nightmare Before Christmas, with a large dose of Gaga kitsch and drama mixed in.

Gaga’s Workshop at Barneys will officially open at 11:59pm on November 21 and will be open through January 2.

Four four‘s Rich Juzwiak (he of the best ANTM recaps ever and the cutest cat named Winston) had the genius to slow down this already really painfully slow interview with Paz de la Huerta on VH1s Morning Buzz (see the actual interview here and apologies in advance). Read more »

The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is now in its 16th year, has come a long way since the first one in 1995, which wasn’t even broadcast. The 2011 show, which will be filmed tomorrow and air on November 29, promises to be the most extravagant yet with 38 big-name models, three huge musical performances and a $12 million budget. However, did you know that they started out with a budget of only $120,000? That’s a fraction of what some of their bras cost these days.

Click through to see how the shows transformed from normal girls in a normal fashion show to the celeb-filled over-produced extravaganzas they are now, including a video of the first ever show in 1995!

It’s no secret the fashion industry eats up pretty much anything Chloe Sevigny spits out. She recently gave an interview to BULLET magazine, which covers everything from her childhood to her latest collection for Opening Ceremony. Chloe is characteristically candid, offering up her take on dropping acid, dressing the Fannings and why she she looks in the mirror. A lot.

The highlights:

“Honestly, without hesitation, it is the greatest honor, I mean, way above and beyond the lifetime achievement award, beyond anything. It’s like, to be immortalized on South Park, I can die a happy man.” Jacobs plans to commemorate this milestone. That’ll be my next tattoo, the Muscle Man Marc from South Park.”

– Marc Jacobs to New York Magazine at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, about his portrayal on South Park.
