Though Hayden Panettiere’s rococo-print Tibi dress was a hit at last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards, her moment was completely interrupted by, oh, just a male streaker running on stage during her presentation for best song. The extremely brave young man didn’t just take a naked lap though; he stood front and center and chatted with a flabbergasted Panettiere, who actually invited him to grab a pint with her after the show (I mean, I would have too…his bod is pretty good, right?). It’s hilarious–don’t you wish things like this happened at American awards shows?

The MTV Europe Music Awards were last night and, to be honest, it was such a spectacle that it’s almost impossible to do a “best dressed” list. Looking through the photos, it seemed most attendants dressed more for a night of raving in some Euro-disco club than a red carpet. There were minor highlights–such as every one of Selena Gomez’ eight outfit changes–but it’s mostly just a parade of insanity.

Click through to see the best of the EMA’s awesomely bad shenanigans.

A tipster noticed this photograph of an incredibly stylish young girl had been posted on The Sartorialist this past Saturday, but that it’s since been deleted. She writes,

This gem showed up in my Google Reader from over the weekend, he has obviously since deleted because of the neg comments, but what a creeper.

You can find a cached version of the post here. To be honest, the first thing I noticed about the photograph is not the fact that she’s using a pacifier, but how incredibly stylish and pretty she is with her naturally ombré’d hair, chic trench and moto jeans. She is a “petite Parisienne” after all, and bears a resemblance to the gorgeous and very controversial child model Thylane Blondeau.

Clueless shopping

So if you had to guess which cities in the US shop the most, what would be your guess? LA and New York come to mind, for sure. But a new study published at Bundle last week sheds some light on which cities’ residents actually shell out the the most for clothes. And they’re not the ones you’d expect.

Bundle looked at the top 100 cities by population to figure out which spent the most on clothes, shoes, and other garments. They sourced their data from the US government, from Citi, and from “third party data providers.” After a year of data (from March 2010 to March 2011), they were able to determine the ten cities that shop the most. The dollar amounts listed represent the average amount spent per month on “clothes, shoes, and other wear.” Here are the 10 most shopping-est cities (is yours there?):

While Anna Wintour was in Tokyo to promote Tokyo’s Fashion’s Night Out, she addressed some controversy that followed an editorial in Japanese Vogue that featured Japan’s minister of government, Renho, in one of Japan’s parliament buildings. Apparently Renho took flak from lawmakers over the location of the shoot. She told the Wall Street Journal:

When women are in positions of power, and they’re featured in a women’s magazine like Vogue…they tend to be incredibly unfairly criticized. It’s an incredibly old-fashioned approach. Just because you’re in a position of power, and you look good and you enjoy fashion — does that mean you’re an idiot, or that it’s not seemly to be in a woman’s magazine? If a man is in GQ, they don’t get the same kind of criticism.

Our first reaction? Yes, right on Anna! It’s true–why should women be viewed as less serious or powerful or good at their jobs just because they look good doing them?

But then we considered the women in power that Vogue chooses to profile in its pages: Queen Rania of Jordan; First Lady Michelle Obama; controversially, Asma al-Assad, the First Lady of Syria; Sarah Palin. They’re all really pretty.
