Rachel Zoe’s been snapped frolicking around in St. Barts this week with her family and Marc Jacobs. But despite her calm demeanor in the photos, she had to undergo quite an ordeal to get to the posh island. Page Six is reporting that American Airlines–which recently filed for bankruptcy–lost Zoe’s “valuable valise” which was loaded with practical beach items like a vintage Tom Ford for Gucci leather jacket. There were also Missoni caftans.

The Post reports that she stopped in Miami first before continuing to St. Barts, where she stocked up on more beachwear. But one piece of this story makes no sense to us.

The Post refers to a suitcase (singular) and later states that the stylist was left with “only the duds on her back.” If you’ll recall, Rachel Zoe and her family do not travel lightly. For Paris fashion week she brought 11 suitcases; on a recent business trip to New York the family brought nine. We seriously doubt that this was her only suitcase, especially since one of the items was a leather jacket. That takes up a lot of room!

Anyway, we still feel her pain. The suitcase has been gone for a week; American said they were “diligently” looking for the bag, but you know how that goes. I once went to Mexico and had to wear “I partied my nuts off in Mexico” t-shirts the whole time after my luggage went missing. We hope Rachel gets her stuff back.
