Fashion News Roundup: Emma Watson Has a New Lancôme Ad, Karlie Kloss Runs Around NYC for Free People, and Kim Jong-un Gets a C+ in Fashion

Here's Emma Watson's Actual Lancôme Ad: The pretty concept drawings leaked last week, but here's a look at the finished product, featuring E. Wats looking ever-so seductive. Lancôme's new makeup lines of lipsticks and nail polishes will hit stores in February. {WWD} Dakota Fanning Covers Elle UK: Not to be outshone by her fashionable younger sister, whose upcoming Teen Vogue cover hits shelves soon, here's Dakota's very own February cover for Elle UK. Though you have to admit, it is a little funny that the word "ELLE" is emblazoned across poor (and pore-less) Dakota's porcelain forehead in giganto font. Just a little. {Design Scene} WWD Gives Kim Jong-un a Fashion C+: To be honest, I think they went a little easy on North Korea's new leader. Though the constructive criticism ("a slightly tapered [pant] leg would help elongate his silhouette") is a nice, helpful touch. {WWD}

Karlie Kloss Takes NYC for Free People: Guaranteed to make you just a little bit more depressed about winter (and overeating this past week), here are some preview images of Karlie and Jessica Hart in Free People's January lookbook. Ms. Kloss looks cute as a button in her street style-inspired New York shoot, which reminds me of that time Blair and Serena realize how much they love each other and get all spontaneous running around Central Park taking pictures at the end of season one... Does anyone else remembers that?? {Elle}

2011's Most Popular Fashion Brands: What do Wet Seal and Miu Miu have in common? They were both among the top clothing brands searched for on the Information Super Highway in 2011--though we're guessing by extremely different customers. Check out Lucky's list of the 25 most popular fashion brands this past year--and see if you can guess number one. {Lucky Mag}

Holiday Sales Break Pre-Recession Records: Maybe people haven't been so frugal this holiday season after all! The International Council of Shopping Centers (which apparently exists) predicts this year's USA holiday spending will end up being about $600 million more than the record of $251.7 billion spent in 2007. Which helps explain why I can't afford a new dress for New Year's Eve... {NY Mag}
