No.6 Store looking for a freelance production person for studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and to work in Garment Center.
This will be a temporary project starting immediately and ending 4/15/12.
Great opportunity to work in a women's contemporary clothing designer studio in domestic production.
MUST HAVE 2 to 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN DOMESTIC PRODUCTION
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: No.6 production position duties include: - Work with factory, contractors and suppliers to insure orders and items are inline with timeline, quantity and overall quality - Quality control and inventory inspection at factory. - Order and calculate fabric trims and generate PO's accordingly - Must be proficient at shipping to a multitude of vendors. - Charting and calendars all organized in excel (must be excel fluent) - Knowledge of vendors, factories and locations of where to find things or have things made
You must have a background and a strong interest in production and are aware of high-end contemporary quality and have worked with silk. You must have an eye for design and detail. You are able to follow instructions and have excellent organizational skills. You should have proficient computer skills in Office and all Adobe products. You need to be a self-starter, a quick problem solver and have a positive attitude!
Our influences include: travel to foreign places, designers such as Martin Margiela, vintage YSL, Dries Van Noten the color black, and vintage clothing of course.
