The Latest on YSL v. Louboutin: Yes, this is still happening. YSL’s lawyers have now filed their appeal against Christian Louboutin’s latest appeal, which was due by the end of 2011. Way back in April, Louboutin sued YSL for selling a (red) shoe with a red sole, claiming the famed footwear designer had put a trademark on scarlet soles in 2008 – which the judge then deemed invalid. But clearly, Chris L. wasn’t about to give up without a fight. Y’all got drama, the saga continues. {WWD}
PETA Names Janet Jackson, Kim Kardashian “Celeb Grinches”: Is wearing fur the same as hating Christmas? PETA, who sure has a way with biting commentary, called Miss-Jackson-if-you’re-nasty “just plain nasty” for her apparent love of animal pelts and collaboration with Blackglama. Fur-lover Kim K has also been blacklisted, unlike her “sweet sister Khloe” who starred in an anti-fur PETA ad. {Telegraph}

And you may remember that just a few weeks back, Carey Mulligan’s American Vogue cover was reincarnated as a French Elle cover.
