Peep Louis Vuitton’s Super Sweet Spring 2012 Ad Campaign Starring Daria Strokous, Kati Nescher and Ice Cream Sundaes
By Dhani MauI wouldn’t be surprised if “confection” was the word most frequently used to describe Marc Jacobs’ super pretty, lace-y, pastel-filled, carousel-set spring 2012 offerings for Louis Vuitton. So, it follows that the ad campaign would be set up in a pink and white ice cream parlor.
Sundaes replace last season’s puppies in these just-released images of the print ads, which were also shot by Steven Meisel and star Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher. Jacobs told WWD, “It is all very soft and very sweet, yet at the same time very bold and very graphic.” It’s an accurate description–we’ve never seen an ad campaign be so in-your-face about its sweetness and girlyness–and we love it.
The ad is slated to run in February magazines. For now, check out the full campaign below.
