Is this the inevitable designer collaboration over-hype backlash?
Versace for H&M is making its way back into stores. The H&M on 86th St. has “more than a small bin of returns,” according to Madison Avenue Spy. So what’s hanging on the “returns” racks (yes, there’s actually a section at this store devoted to returns)? Pink mini skirts with the fringe, shoes, bags, some sequined dresses and “the pièce de résistance…a men’s overcoat with a leather lapel and leather sleeves.”
Guess that’s what happens when people are whipped into a frenzy, wait 22 hours to shop for a limited edition designer collaboration and then get home and realize, ‘WTF did I just buy?’ Either that or it’s not selling on eBay.Racked NY is also reporting, via Fashion Herald, that the H&M on 34th St. by Penn Station has a pretty well stocked selection of Versace for H&M (see photo evidence, left).
Is Versace for H&M still on the racks near you?
