Ascot Officials Stuck Orange Stickers on Guys Who Weren’t Wearing Ties, Then Refunded Their Money: Despite the warnings about stricter dress codes, organizers at the Royal Ascot had to give warnings to about 50 people for not wearing ties in the posh “Premier enclosure.” They put orange stickers on all of these gentlemen obstensibly to prevent them from being further bothered by other track officials who might notice their lack of tie. Instead it made the men feel like they were branded with a humiliating scarlet 'A'. So Ascot refunded their money, thus encouraging more people to not wear ties next year. {The Guardian}

Anna Wintour and Scarlett Johansson are Partying for Obama: The two are hosting a fund raiser at the Theory store in NYC’s Meatpacking District. Those “Runway to Win” items will be available to purchase, and we’re pretty sure the co-hosts have ways to sweetly convince you to part with extra money for the cause, too. {WWD, subscription required}

Here’s what Richie Rich Has Been Up To: Lucky Cheng's, NYC’s venerable Asian-themed drag joint, is moving up the W. 52nd street in the Times Square area, and the former Heatherette designer Richie Rich is going, too. He’s going to sell “new designs” from a space above the club (which will house a runway), collaborate with Lucky Cheng’s on costumes and false eyelashes, and release a new fragrance in February so you “can smell like him.” {The Local}
