To whet our appetites even more for Jason Wu’s adorable Target collection, the designer went on the Today show this morning to promote it and we actually got to see the clothes moving on real people.
After a glowing intro (he dressed Michelle Obama and Hollywood starlets took notice!), Wu and Glamour editor Cindi Leive discuss the recent explosion of designer/mass retailer collaborations and Wu touches on the inspiration of the collection–French New Wave Cinema (we cringed a little when Ann Curry said she didn’t know what that was). Then, they sent a few styled looks down a mini-runway on real women instead of models, which is pretty smart.
We’re starting to get the feeling that we’re not the only ones obsessed with this collection. So, as a warning to everyone: get ready to put up a fight for this stuff at Target on February 5.
