Gucci Dominates the Most Popular Fall Cover Looks, Surprising No One

Last season, Prada’s yellow and green sleeveless print dress got a lot of face time on the covers of some major fashion magazines, topping off at nine, more than any other spring look. The label was also the number one spot holder for most covers overall, so the coup came as no big surprise.

Now that fall has come and gone, and Gucci has slayed every other major label with over 100 covers to their credit, the number one cover look for fall is rightfully (and inevitably) theirs to claim. Anabela Belikova wore a stunning yellow and black sheer dress on the runway, and it showed up on the cover of 11 magazines this fall. Not only did we expect a Gucci dress to hold this spot, but we thought there was a good chance it would be this particular look since we noticed it getting a lot of attention last September.

We can’t stress enough the popularity of Gucci across the board. The truth is that with the unbelievable amount of covers they have managed to rack up, the fight for the top cover look was a straight up civil war. One Gucci look against another. In fact, Gucci stole the top four positions of the top five cover looks for the season! We really thought the dominatrix from Louis Vuitton would have been first to exhibit such determined singlemindedness, but we were wrong. Check out which looks made the cut.
