Stella McCartney had a special presentation tonight in London, and it sounds like it was possibly the best thing that ever happened. We were sadly not there, but we are giving the endurance tweeting award to Grazia, who kept us up to speed about what was happening inside the venue. And a lot happened.

First of all, Rihanna made her first London fashion week appearance. While she didn’t show at House of Holland today, it gives us some hope that maybe she’ll pop up at other shows. Kate Moss and Jamie Hince were there, as was Kanye West (taking a break from prepping his collection?), Simon “Hungry Like the Wolf” LeBon, and Twiggy. It was a black tie seated dinner, and featured a magic show and dancing.

But not just any magic show. Alexa “British Fashion Ambassador” Chung was apparently hypnotized and levitated above three swords (see left.) And not just any dancing. There was a model flash mob table dancing moment, which included Amber Valletta, Shalom Harlow, Yasmin Lebon, and Shailene Woodley, who is really making the fashion month rounds.

Oh, and Stella showed some clothes, too. That table dancing wasn’t because of the champagne. All the models were wearing dresses from her “Winter 2012 London Evening Collection.” Per a release we got, the collection “emphasizes on evening wear with ease, masculine and feminine; glamour and hope.” We’ll definitely post pics of the collection if and when they become available.
