If there was any question (hope?) as to whether fashion’s obsession with songstress Lana Del Rey was fleeting this should confirm that she’s here to stay, at least for a while (regardless of her contestable talents as a ‘vocalist’): Brit heritage brand Mulberry has created a bag for her.
The ‘Del Rey’ debuted on Mulberry’s runway for their fall show yesterday and on the arm of Miss Del Rey herself, who sat front row. Del Rey’s white ostrich version of the bag was made especially for her. According to a release, Mulberry creative director Emma Hill met Lana last year and was “captivated by her soulful, melancholy voice and the nostalgic beauty of her Video Games single and video.”
The bag hits stores in May along with the rest of Mulberry’s Wild Thing’s collection, and comes in “Deer Brown Grainy Print, Black Forest Soft Matte, Black Soft Spongy and Petrol Veg Tanned Lambskin leathers.” It will start at $1250. Click through to see it in all of it’s varied iterations. Like it?
